Kate What are your favorite independent bookstores in the New Orleans area?

I know of:

Kate Thanks!

This morning, I was excited to find another one uptown:

8126 Oak Street - New Orleans, LA 70118

Michael (mikedecshop) I didn't know about that one Kate.
I have yet to take a look at the newly renovated Oak St.
Now I have a good excuse.

Carol | 11 comments Always take the streetcar out to the Garden District. Usually end up the The Garden District Bookshop. I'm a member of their Cookbook Book Club even though I live in WIsconsin.

Edward Branley (yatpundit) | 9 comments Maple Street Book Store (@fightthestupids on Twitter), and Octavia Books. They both had me in for signings for my books, so I'm obviously partial to them. Of the two, it's a tough call to pick a favorite-Tom at Octavia is a great guy, as are the folks at Maple St.
