There was a true crime, translated from the French, that came out a few years ago -- it was about a guy who told his wife that he worked for World Health Organization, or some such, but he really didn't. In fact, he didn't have any job, and just sat in his car all day and pretended to go to work. When his family started to suspect, he murdered them all. It took place in France. Ring any bells? The title was something like "The Scintillator" and it referred to Satan.
