Sarah | 13815 comments Middle school for me was all posters of hard rock and hair metal boys: Nikki Sixx, Axl Rose, Bret Michaels, the Nelson twins, Sebastian Bach. Men that looked like women, in other words.

That particular crush has not deserted me yet.

Félix (habitseven) I "liked" that movie she was in early in her career -- the one with the sleazy preacher.

message 12: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13815 comments Yes, Amelia.

message 13: by Meels (new)

Meels (amelia) No, I get it's her. I was trying to figure out which movie he was talking about, but wasn't having any success. So I was hoping if Larry linked to the IMDB page he could be more specific.

message 14: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments yes, amelia. wonder woman.

message 15: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw.

message 16: by Meels (new)

Meels (amelia) Gotcha, thanks Larry...Sheesh! I get the Wonder Woman part, the woman raised me after all. I was a 70's kid! I came home from school every day and learned all of my morals and ethics from her before dinner! :)

Okay, I have to wonder: lycra or any kind of elastic breaks down over time. How can this swimsuit possibly look the same and be in the same condition as it was in the 70s? It's gotta be all nasty, stretched out, and disintegrating.

message 18: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11694 comments Well, LG, to be truthful, the same could probably be said of Farrah. She's been in the ground what, maybe two years?

message 19: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24360 comments Mod
Oh dear. Well, Farrah is not going into the Smithsonian, is she?

Blackie Parrish-era John Stamos
General Hospital-era Rick Springfield (his name was Rick on the show, too?)

Carol | 1679 comments that's good, but where's his leather jacket? And his pout?
Noah Drake, thank you for that.

Meels (amelia) And then...Full House. Wah wah wah.

Rachel | 1107 comments Gerard Way...until he got married.
Hugh Jackman...until I found out he was married.
Ryan Reynolds...until he got married.
James Mcavoy...until I found out he was married.

So far, I'm kind of leaning towards Anton Yelchin, Chris Pine, Skandar Keynes, Jon Foo and Jun Matsumoto.

Oh, and Scarlett Johansson.

message 29: by Meels (new)

Meels (amelia) Why does them being married matter? I mean, it's not as if anything is actually going to happen...

What do all these men have to do with the Swimsuit?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) They're who those people were "hot for" back in the day?

*fights off urge to locate the "Borat in a swimsuit" picture*

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3447 comments Just read again through the strange one-minute posts under General and View All. Nothing friendly there. Rather menacing, taken altogether. I'm not feeling good about these posts.

message 40: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte Creech | 100 comments The entire cast of The Outsiders! Swayze, Cruise, Dillon, Lowe, Estevez, Macchio, Howell, and Leif Garrett! Oh yeah!

message 41: by Meels (new)

Meels (amelia) Really? I would be right there with you, except for Ralph Macchio...never found little Ralphie attractive. He was sweet, I didn't dislike him, but NEVER found him atractive.at.all.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I was a ponyboy kind of girl.

message 43: by Meels (new)

Meels (amelia) (BTW, Cruise was not in The Outsiders. Neither was Leif. But, you can catch him on Real TV on a show called The World's Dumbest...you will find him lacking the sex appeal you remember. Just to warn you.)

message 44: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3447 comments Cruise was in The Outsiders. I think his character was Steve, only seen a couple of times, most notably doing gymnastics.

They were all good. I think Matt Dillon got better looking with age, as did Tom Cruise.

Has anyone seen the movie Beautiful Girls? It's got a great cast of guys.

Ha, yes, Cruise and Dillon did, but Tommy Howell...not so much. :)

My favorite Dillon movie was Singles.

message 48: by Lori (new)

Lori (barfield) | 53 comments I don't really have a favorite Dillon movie, i like almost all of them.

I have to say one of my favorite Cruise movies is Collateral. Love him being the bad guy! But again i like most of his movies.

They both did a movie with Cameron Diaz & i really didn't like either of those.

Charlotte Creech | 100 comments Lief WAS in the Outsiders, too. He was a Soc. Johnny stabbed him when he was trying drown Ponyboy in the park.

message 50: by Meels (new)

Meels (amelia) Crazy, I guess it's been way too long since I've seen it!

It was quite the man-fest.
