Nikki Boisture I have a case of the blahs today, and getting my hatred of my chest may help me a bit. My current hates, in no particular order:

-That our condo has been on the market for five months with no offers and a 7% reduction in price.

-Our lazy realtor. She's gone as soon as the contract is up.

-The loaner car I'm driving while my car gets some maintenance work.

-My job. That's not just a current hate, that is an ongoing hatred.

-When my boss talks in Czech on his phone really loudly, but in English very quietly. I can't eavesdrop when I want to!

-That I can't afford to buy books anymore, even with the nifty coupons Borders sends my way by email. Not that I hate the library....I love it, but sometimes you just want to OWN that book you loved so much.

-That my son is a perfect angel for the babysitter, but at our house has turned into a hitting, biting terrible two's machine.

-Some asshole who said she hated my son's name.

-My headache.

That's about all I can think of at the moment.....but I don't feel any better.

Nikki Boisture My son's name is Grady. (Grady Tripp from Wonder Boys).

This lady said. "Grady. Ew. It sounds too much like gravy."

Servius Heiner Sounds like she may have been a Thorazine abuser.

Nikki Boisture I'm on an internets forum where we talk about baby names and naming trends, etc. (Dorky, I know). There is one other mother of a Grady toddler, and then this other mom just interjected with how much she hated our kids' name. The general rule of thumb on this site is it's OK to poo-poo a potential name, but once a kid has already been born, play nice about the name.

So I'm going to imagine that she, in fact, was heavily medicated and drooling.
Oh, and I just had to look up thorazine on wikipedia. I'll imagine she is a thorazine abuser as well.

Servius Heiner it is a powerful tool of submission.
