Dionisia (therabidreader) | 19 comments My copy of Murder with Mirrors says the following:

Standard Book Number: 671-80229-2

I tried searching for this specific edition and what I found was an edition of My Father, Sholom Aleichem going through an identity crisis. Do these books really share an ISBN?

If so, should I create a new edition of Murder With Mirrors using the ISBN without the zero in the lead? If not, is it OK to separate that wonky edition of My Father, Sholom Aleichem, make the necessary corrections, and then combine it with They Do It With Mirrors? Help/advise appreciated!

Since Pocket Books is a prime re-user of ISBNs (especially in the 70s and early 80s), I think the most likely scenario is that they did re-use the ISBN.

You can create a new edition of Murder With Mirrors, but do it with NO ISBN.
