Discuss Hamlet by William Shakespeare here.

Connor (connork) I don't understand a lot of the book so far. The writing back then is so different. I do understand what I have to though so I get the main story, but I'm not getting the meat of it.

Kayla When I was getting into Shakespeare in high school, what I used to do was check out Shakespeare's work that was rewritten in prose form to read first and then read his plays in the original language and style. It made it a lot easier to follow along and understand what was happening in each scene. I'm not sure if you'd be open to cheating like that, though. :)

Hamlet is so great, especially the ending where it's just death after death after death within the span of a few pages. It's my favorite by him, along with A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Connor (connork) I think what I'd do is read the original, then read an easy version, the read the original again.
