Joy | 43 comments 11. All Night with a Rogue All Night with a Rogue (Lords of Vice, #1) by Alexandra Hawkins
By far the worst book I have read this year. I only finished it so I can give it a really bad review.

message 9: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments And _The Admiral's Penniless Bride_ was the best, btw. Highly recommended.

Thanks, Angelique! Once I stop commuting by bus, or start reading non-romances, I doubt I will keep up this pace!

Joy | 43 comments 12. Pieces of Sky Pieces of Sky (Blood Rose, #1) by Kaki Warner

Really good.

message 11: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments 13. Open Country Open Country (Blood Rose, #2) by Kaki Warner

14. Chasing the Sun Chasing the Sun (Blood Rose, #3) by Kaki Warner

This concludes the Western Romance "Blood Rose" trilogy. These were really good, worked both as romances and westerns.

15. Your Bed Or Mine? (Harlequin Blaze #379) Your Bed Or Mine? (Harlequin Blaze #379)(The Wrong Bed) by Kate Hoffmann

message 12: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Joy, how was Your Bed or Mine? And you are certainly a speedy reader!

message 13: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments Your Bed or Mine was pretty good for a Blaze. I'd say it was 3 stars which ranges from OK to "I liked it but I didn't LOVE it"--it falls into that range. If you like a spicy old friends turn lovers book you might like it. It was pretty short, I read it in a few hours.

Eh, don't think I'll read it then. When you come across something 4 or 5 stars then I'd love a recommendation.

Joy | 43 comments Sarah Mayberry is very good, I'd recommend her to anyone.

Joy | 43 comments 16. Can't Get Enough Can't Get Enough (Harlequin Blaze, #211) by Sarah Mayberry

17. The Last Goodbye The Last Goodbye by Sarah Mayberry

The Last Goodbye is very, very good; not only a romance but about a man caring for his dying abusive father despite everything.

Joy | 43 comments If anyone is interested in checking out Sarah Mayberry, she has a free online read (one chapter up a day) at eHarlequin right now, you can try her on for free:

Joy | 43 comments 23. Bound By The Baby Bound By The Baby (Silhouette Desire) by Susan Crosby

I suppose I will eventually get tired of category romance...but not yet.

Joy | 43 comments 28. Anchor and Storm Anchor and Storm by Kate Poole I am having a hard time determining what to make of this book.

message 27: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments I think I am now tired of category romance.

message 28: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments Ok, these are the last 3 category romances before my detox.

32. Burning Up Burning Up (Harlequin Blaze, #380) by Sarah Mayberry

33. The Surgeon's Miracle The Surgeon's Miracle by Caroline Anderson

34. Christmas Eve Baby Christmas Eve Baby (Medical Romance) by Caroline Anderson

I like the Caroline Anderson books too...

Joy | 43 comments 37. Crystal Dragon Crystal Dragon (Liaden Universe - The Great Migration Duology, #2) by Sharon Lee

Such an awesome duology, I am kind of sad that it's over.

Joy | 43 comments 40. Balance of Trade Balance of Trade (Liaden Universe, #3) by Sharon Lee another good one!

I've now read all the Liaden novels to date. Fortunately Ghost Ship (the next one) will be coming out, I hope, later this year.

message 34: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments 41. La Bonne La Bonne by Michèle de Lully a solid reminder that menage erotica is almost never good.

message 35: by Rayna (new)

Rayna k.....i thought i was a reading machine!!! Laugh...how many books do you read in a year???

message 36: by Joy (last edited Jan 27, 2011 08:00AM) (new)

Joy | 43 comments last year I read 507. I plan to read fewer books this year. It was too much :)

message 38: by Rayna (new)

Rayna wow! kudos to you....happy reading!

Joy | 43 comments 44. Valor's Choice Valor's Choice (Confederation, #1) by Tanya Huff good milSF.

Joy | 43 comments ...and I relapse into romance...

46. How to Woo a Reluctant Lady How to Woo a Reluctant Lady (Hellions of Halstead Hall, #3) by Sabrina Jeffries

47. Never Trust a Scoundrel Never Trust a Scoundrel (Sons of Scandal, #1) by Gayle Callen

48. Scent Of A Woman Scent Of A Woman (Blaze, 23) by Jo Leigh

49. Arm Candy Arm Candy (Harlequin Blaze, #122) by Jo Leigh (the Blogger Bundle claims that the heroine of this book is a "mathematician" only she appears to be a marketic exec to me. I thought mathematicians did math. Go figure)

message 42: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments 50. Just Kiss Me Just Kiss Me (Harlequin Temptation, 889) by Kathleen O'Reilly

51. Obsession Obsession (Harlequin Superromance No. 945) by Kay David

These books and Arm Candy are part of a blogger bundle from Dear Author. They aren't bad but somehow I expected them to be even better because they came so recommended.

message 43: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments 52. The Heart of Valor The Heart of Valor (Confederation, #3) by Tanya Huff I am enjoying this series immensely.

message 44: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments 53. Unveiled Unveiled (Hqn) by Courtney Milan
very good

message 45: by Joy (last edited Feb 05, 2011 01:18PM) (new)

Joy | 43 comments 54. Valor's Trial Valor's Trial (Confederation, #4) by Tanya Huff another excellent book in this series

55. Love at First Flight Love at First Flight by Marie Force A freebie from Sourcebooks. I have some problems with this book, because of the way the protagonists treat their exes (who aren't exes at the beginning of the book).

message 46: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments 56. Marry Me Marry Me (Reidsville, #2) by Jo Goodman
this book begins with a shocker, very good and angsty as a Goodman book ought to be.

message 47: by Joy (last edited Feb 06, 2011 04:26PM) (new)

Joy | 43 comments 57. Among Others Among Others by Jo Walton so excellent. A fantasy novel about coming of age as an SF nerd. With witches, boarding school, first love, and really otherworldly fairies.

message 49: by Joy (new)

Joy | 43 comments 63. Noble Satyr Noble Satyr by Lucinda Brant Enjoyed this Georgian romance, reminds me a bit of Heyer's _These Old Shades_ in places.
