Ted Rohe (vangelicmonk) | 3 comments I heard they are thinking of making this into a movie. What do you think that will look like?

That would be interesting. I guess it depends on who does it. From one director to the next it could be wildly different.

Ted Rohe (vangelicmonk) | 3 comments That is true. I heard Jim Carey found Screw Tape letters fascinating. I don't think he is a Christian, but I think he could play the lead character well. It would be like Bruce Almighty except more serious. Just my opinion.

Kristin Jona | 2 comments Well, it seems they are making it: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0956039/

Hopefully it will be good, at least better then the "the lion, the witch and the wardrobe" adoption Walden media did, I was rather disappointed with that.

Whendy wow, i just saw the book 4 the first time yesterday in the church library but i didn't pick it 2 read and now i see a discussion about it! an interesting coincidence that's what it is

Kristine I agree with Becky. If the writers and directors don't keep the film just as CS Lewis wrote it and intended it to be, he definately would not approve. I read the book years ago and it had a great message. I'll have to reread it now.

I agree with the fact that it would be a bad idea. But then within the dialogue is some story the movie would probably act out.

Pau | 21 comments The idea of The Screwtape Letters for movie is somewhat unrighteous and unwise. Yes we will know in a form of satire how temptations done;but, it might have an impact like of the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons that shook Christian communities with controversies. It would be hard for young Christians to cope up with that.Reading the novel is better, than depicting it.

Tiffany (mtiff) I agree with that.
