Has anyone read Madame Bovary? The new translation by Lydia Davis?

Is it good?

Catherine | 9 comments Great book! I've only read the original, but her translation got a great review in the NY Times.

Jessie | 2 comments I'm late commenting on this one, but I still vividly remember reading Madame Bovary in honors English class in high school. My teacher was obsessed with the book's "polymorphous perversity"...Flaubert's ability to turn anything nonsexual into a sexual act. Did you read the new translation yet? Is it good?
