We'll talk about Chapters 41-50 of this novel here. This is the penultimate section of Wives and Daughters for our discussion, and this is the thread for all your comments--about Molly, Roger, Cynthia, and all the rest!

Amalie This is a really slow reading. By now I'm finding the novel bit too long and boring and in some places unnecessarily long with descriptions.

It's interesting to see Roger is completely missing form these chapters and the characters know very little about how he is. It's also interesting to see how Mr. Gibson is mostly unaware of what's happening in the lives of his wife and the daughters (Molly and Cynthia.)

Robin (goodreadscomtriviagoddessl) Mr. Gibson seems to be gone alot, due to his doctoring duties, but he does seem unaware of what is happening with Molly, Cynthia and Mrs. Gibson. They have done some things that he should be aware of.
