Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) No disappointment. it delves a little deeper in to his life. I am thinking Freed will be about him finally letting go of his dark past. Very interesting. Even the sale of sex toys have gone up because of that book. I certainly would not mind to be E L James at the moment with the royalty cheques coming in!

Me neither, it's certainly got librarians everywhere in a a bit of a tiz! To ban or not to ban, that is the question!

LOL it reminds me of a television comedy Chance in a Million with Brenda Blethyn playing a librarian, frumpy, dowdy spinster and in the evenings transformed into Miss Whiplash in stockings and suspenders! Hilariously funny!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - oh dear. I really must stop grinning whilst on the train. People must think I am mad.

I think the libraries would definately have to rate it as an 18 and ask for ID on those that want to take it out.

I don't see it needing an 18 sticker, it doesn't go into that much detail. Okay maybe the whips and items of torture are a bit ott, but I dare bet you a pound to a penny most of the kids of 16 + know more about S & M than we do!

Well perhaps not including me, thanks to mon petit Chien-chien I had a crash course !

Non, si'l tu plait, pas encore pitie moi, je suis un tres bon chien-chien! As uttered by Michel head waiter at the Auberge whilst chained naked to a tree by the lovely Lady Serena Howard kinky wife of the right honourable Nigel Howard in The Thin Blue Line!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - well there is quite a bit more sex in the second one, not so much S&M, but at it like rabbits - LOL

With the same girl or someone else?

message 2307: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Same girl!

She's a glutton for punishment, that's for sure! I hope she gave him the runaround for at least a third of the book before capitulating!

Yep with BOLD Capitals, LOL. Is she beating him instead of the other way round!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LMAO - not yet, but anything is possible. He loves her and wants to marry her - wont let anything else out, in case you read it ;o)

Sounds like it will have a happy ending after all. Yes I am going to read it, now I'm in funds again I can order them both! May as well add to the new found wealth of E H James! Good luck to her, I only hope my turn comes soon!

message 2313: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I reckon it will leave it on a cliff hanger again so that you have to read book 3!

message 2314: by Sarah (last edited Jun 07, 2012 09:31AM) (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "I reckon it will leave it on a cliff hanger again so that you have to read book 3!"

Oh well just as well I bought both of them then, and a new John Conelly, Every Dead Thing, got my books shipped for free this time.

Two glasses of Apple juice down two to go. did I say I liked apple juice? It may change after five days!

Now you're wondering why I am I forcibly drinking 4 + glasses of apple juice per day, well it seems my pain which I thought was muscle strain isn't, the pain I had in my side wasn't a kidney stone but a gallstone and the pain has migrated to the middle of the back between my shoulder blades.

I had a headache too so when my diet books finally arrive they will help cure two ills instead of one, healthy heart and gall bladder!

Meanwhile I'll just keep drinking my apple juice! I wonder if a glass of cider would count? Well it is made from apple juice!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I should not read Grey and watch the Mentalist at the same time. My mind went haywire ;o)

How are you feeling this morning?

Lol as far as Alain is concerned it is almost illegal to read and watch television at the same time chez moi. That's only because he's a man and men can't multi-task and he's jealous!

I'm okay it's about to start raining again and my leg is giving me hell because it's so damp. I need to win the Euro millions and retire to a damp free zone, somewhere in the mountains I think with low humidity! Or I could just go into the garage and get the dehumidifier out and plug it in! Why didn't I think of that earlier!

I watched Lie to Me on my own about 6 episodes all in English, heavenly way to spend an evening!

message 2317: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That reminds me, I must go and put the lottery on ;o)

Sophie put her winter coat back on too, me I'm in trousers and t shirt, but that's nothing new I tend to stay in T shirts all year round with the log burner it gets so hot in here Alain showers and comes down in shorts and t shirts in January!

I'm having your favourite for lunch, poached salmon!
Did you read chapter 20 yet?

message 2319: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Not had a chance yet, but will read it over lunch will I am eating my chicken and sweet chilli noodle salad :P

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Not had a chance yet, but will read it over lunch will I am eating my chicken and sweet chilli noodle salad :P"

Talking of lunch I'd better get it underway or the Grinch will moan when he arrives. Trouble is I never know when that will be!

message 2321: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Then theoretically, he can't actually moan ;o)

message 2322: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Then theoretically, he can't actually moan ;o)"

Yeah but theoretically is a very big word and he ain't so hot on spelling nor timekeeping!

I just got a tweet message in Dutch and being me I managed to read and translate it (just) and reply with one word in Dutch! Bedankt - I learnt a little Dutch when I was 10 and spent a week in Holland, amazed I still remember some of it!

message 2323: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) And what did they say?

message 2324: by Sarah (last edited Jun 08, 2012 05:35AM) (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "And what did they say?"

They just wanted me to go and look at a room for beauty website selling face cream! Tres Cher! 2,95 from Lidl followed by collagen and beta carotin cream from Krauterhaus at 7 Euros a big pot!

Still waiting for lunch! Got fed up of waiting and had my lunch heading for 3.00 o clock!

message 2325: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) So what time did the Salmon eventually throw itself out of the pot?

message 2326: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "So what time did the Salmon eventually throw itself out of the pot?"

He turned up at about 2.45 I had to cook another bag of couscous as the other had set solid. He was late finishing work, he might have thought to telephone, but he wouldn't think, he never does.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Morning or rather afternoon I have been shortening jeans this morning and for the first time in ages I didn't break the machine needle! I hate sewing jeans and none of the three pairs are mine ones Alain's and the other two pairs are Gerards! since when did I volunteer? I didn't Alain volunteered me!

Nearly finished chapter 21 I have a little more to do to carry it over into the next chapter and then you can have it. Football is the reason I finished it Euro 2012 I hate football!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I know what you mean.

I am having trouble with my eyes today, swelled up like balloons. Loks like I have been punched in the face a few times. Luckily my consultant has operations today and said she will see me before they start. If they close like they did last time, I will be off work tomorrow ;o)

Is it an allergy?

message 2332: by Sharon (last edited Jun 11, 2012 03:51AM) (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Not sure to be honest. I suppose it is how you look if you suffer badly from hayfever and your eyes puff up all red. But it is the eyelids and they are as itchy as hell.

Finished Book 2, it was not bad at all. Reading a dark fiction now then i will go back to book 3 ;o)

If you have some Loratadine take one straight away it will stop the itching and take the swelling down you might have to take another before bed this evening, I know they say one a day but the doc told me in extreme cases I could take 2 a day and if it continued go back and he would give me stronger ones. Sophie is the same her eyes are all itchy and red and we are both sneezing.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I have taken a Piriton. I took one at 6.30 this morning, do you think I could take another now?

message 2335: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "I have taken a Piriton. I took one at 6.30 this morning, do you think I could take another now?"

Piriton are normally three a day I think, Loratadine works better for hayfever and it doesn't make you sleepy. Lol if I took a piriton I'd be asleep for the day! If I took the 3 I'd be comatose, they knock me out!

message 2336: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) It's not hayfever though. I have taken another on. Went to find out at the Pharmacy here. My consultant will be here in a few minutes. So glad I work for eye surgeons.

No it could be allergic rhinitis, and you couldn't be more strategically placed than that if you tried. Lol free consultations are the best kind!

message 2338: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I have allergic blepharoconjunctivitis. SHe has given me some drops and said if not healed within 3 days, I need to go back and get some steroids.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) It has not stopped her since yesterday afternoon. Flood warnings on the radio this morning for the are I live in but get this, there is still a hose pipe ban! How stupid is that?

Yeah I know it sounds stupid but the problem isn't the water above, it's the subterranean reserves of water that have suffered over the past few years. I watched a programme on it a few weeks ago.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments You have mail! Chapter 21, I finished it!

And who do you think is the guilty party?

message 2349: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I am leaning towards Antoine now, but could be the double. The mum and Antoine in it together and he was meant to kill himself but fled instead! Just my mind working overtime ;o)

Wrong, but nice guess. And what about Carly's dilemma, any ideas who did the dastardly deed?
