If I can help I will, one of the problems you will have is your use of the language, I write (or try to) in French too and it is not easy because what you are trying to say doesn't always translate the way it is meant.
Eva wrote: Hey, maybe; if it's not about child abuse you should skip that bit and just make references, like for example flashbacks or nightmares. Just to give you the heads up, there's not many publishers that accept that kind of abuse... just an idea. us not being able to finish it it's not because of your writing bur because of the subject...my son is five and i can't bear the thought of something like that.I guess, I wanted to shock the reader and get their attention from the first page, but obviously I over did it. I need to tone it down.

You are alway welcome to read my stories.
Ps: thanks for adding me as a friend

Our language has been bought down to the 21st Century's level I'm afraid! the language of the streets, use of slang and four letter words all too commonplace these days.

Tarian wrote: "Thanks for all making me feel better. Listening to i-pod now and doing house work. Aren't i a good girl."Lol aren't you just! I on the other hand have done sweet FA except make potato waffles for lunch!

I'm not from India, I was born in Palestine, to be specific from a little town called Bethlehem. The same Bethlehem that is mentioned in the bible. But I live in the U.S.A. now. And thanks for the complement :)

That is alway difficult to tell there are some youngsters on here under the age of 13- a good reason for the 18 sticker if you have even a tiny doubt it is better to be safe than sorry!
Your profile picture is that your dog because I have his double nicknamed Stitch but his given name is Hugo - he is a bit on the wild side at times hence the reference to a blue Alien called Stitch! His picture is on my photos!

I know
I cleaned the house with a runny nose but its done. I hardly touched it when I was writing but someones coming to see to my boiler tomorrow so thought I had better vaccume up the dog hairs. Clever girl making waffles, yummy. I am going to cop out of cooking tonight, my partner is at boxing so probably just go out and eat. What you have to remember is that it is not because I am lazey, just ill.
Niv thanks for the friends offer. Don't get down about the writing, it is a huge learning curve and the best thing to do is just keep writing. We all have things to learn all the time and we all have positives and negatives about our writing. Mine is my weak spelling. Realise tonight i spelt falconer wrong, I spelt it 'faulkner' why i don't know if I had stopped to think about it I would have known it was wrong.I think its the love of a good story that's important.
Anyway take care all of you I am off to dinner to spread my germs.

Spelling has always been my forte, I have always had a way with words even at 10 years old when I won my very first writing competion - A whole guinea, and in l966 that was a King's ransom.
But I hate cleaning and that will be my first extravagence a woman that does my cleaning, but not the cooking, I love cooking - with the rest of the potato I am going to make Tuna, potato and sweetcorn waffles!
My second a swimming pool indoor/outdoor heated and not a piddling little one either, the best exercise for my poor aching knees!
Have a nice meal
I have a lab and the hairs are continuous, soooo annoying.I have always loved words, two of my favorites is lapis lazuli and turquoise both stones. Of course there are hundreds of others.
I hate cleaning but would feel guilty getting someone else to do it but perhaps some people like it.I like cooking cakes and fun things, too many years working with kids.
A very large indoor pool is on my list for when i am rich. My list is already quite long. 1. a horse, 2. a boat (i like sea fishing and anything to do with the sea). Actually I would really like one of those parked in the harbour at St Tropez, 3. a few houses, 4. full diving gear and a huge camper van. Oh and to visit posh resturants rather than the all you can eat sort that i have just been to. I feel seriously unwell, over stuffed.
Sorry, getting carried away. I must be dreaming already. I am off to sleep now speak again soon.

Morning I know that feeling well, bloody dog is gonna have to go! If it keeps this up I won't be able to go out at all ever again - it is wilful, disobedient, impossible to housetrain it spent last night in its cage again.

Morning Tarian, no I won't feel guilty at all having someone clean up behind me, lol I used to be a chef and they never clean their own mess up! My problem is when I'm cooking I forget that it's me that has to clean up now!
Yep I sent you a bit of light reading! I'm terrible, I make a chinese meal for 8 and it looks as if the entire population of China helped in its production! Not a bowl or spoon left in the cupboards and drawers!I need a coffee, full fat before opening the book at chapter 13 and ploughing through!

Morning by the way!
Had my first english class! she was really nice but i'm glad I speak spanish, she has a very low level of english, would be pretty hard for me to explain anything if I didnt speak it. Did that make sense?
Darkangel wrote: "Not received anything yet!"No it had been saved in drafts! I'm in blonde mode today, and I was just Jane'd again, that's twice this week!
Now she is living back in her house and is being 'Time Shared' by two friends one who lives about 100kms away and the other who lives in Caen! Then there's the Africain across the road, and Herve from Brest! You just can't keep a good tart down!

Yes, I tutor my friends daughter from time to time with her English and if I didn't speak French it would be impossible to continue.
Morning also, I'm blonde today - head in the clouds!Manuscript, LTSC - third or fourth read through for Darkangel!

Yes, it would help if she could send what she's done to me so I can forward it to Claire.

Ok I'll ask her
Darkangel wrote: "Yes true, I have lost count - hee hee"Me too, umpteenth time I think. That's it the dog is going to the vets this afternoon - there has to be something wrong with it!
Darkangel wrote: "Happened again?"Third time this morning, he has only eaten dog biscuits I'll get the vet to give me a cork to stick up its ass!
I agree, there has to be something wrong.Take a look at these:

I'm going to ring up later and get him registered at our vets, they are very good even opened on Sunday when Eclair got knocked down.
Darkangel wrote: "That is good."I had better haul ass and get a shower and sort something out for lunch, I'd better put stitch in his cage or I'll be washing the sofa cover again!
I have left overs from yesterdays dinner. Somethign to keep me warm. It is absolutely pouring it down here.
Darkangel wrote: "I have left overs from yesterdays dinner. Somethign to keep me warm. It is absolutely pouring it down here."It did that all night and is still doing it, I'm thinking of building an Ark in the back garden just in case we get washed away!
That is the last straw, Eclair just joined in so now I'm cleaning poop from both dogs because its raining and he refused to go outside. Well they're outside now, both of them!
Darkangel wrote: "Oh no. That is not good at all."No, it's not well the two of them can stay on the step they aren't getting wet that way if they get the urge to go they can do it where they are supposed too!
I need to get an orange scented air freshner- dogs hate the smell of orange oil!
Good morning all. I feel better today. My dog has stopped annoying me with her ball and is sleeping happily beside me. Sorry to hear about your dogs Sarah. Give them some Diralite it is cheaper than animal versions. vets give the same med's to dogs as people have but in uk they charge twice as much.
Looking forwards to Sat, it is predicted that we will have a few hours sun. Wont that be amazing!I am going to chill at the gym, try and rev myself up again and get rid of some of the 'all you can eat excess. Of course I will have to hitch a lift from Noha's ark. Take care all, see you when i get back and can't move.

Thank you, I appreciate your opinion and I will take notes. Did you read the whole chapter? because the girl was able to escape him at the end before anything serious happens. You are right, English is not my mother tongue, but I'm curious as how you figured it out? was the context? or were there gramatical mistakes? Thanks
