Marti Talbott (martitalbott) | 2 comments Greetings,

I hope it is ok to post this here.

SUSPECTS is a true story and I should know -- it happened to me. However, instead of writing it in boring first person, I created a fiction conversation between two people in a mountain cabin who were snowed in together. Technically, it's fiction, I guess.

Here's the summary:

Sometime in the night a woman screamed. The next morning Pat Botham, Linda Miracle, and Linda's two toddler sons were simply gone. It was the perfect crime until the railroad lowered the water level in the Gunnison River and exposed the bodies. Almost immediately three prime suspects emerged, one of which was a deputy sheriff, and Mattie Rhoades knew something about him no one else knew — something that made her believe he was the real killer. But in a small, tightly knit community where cops protect each other, there was no one to tell without putting her own life in danger. So she waited, watched, listened, and learned while another man was sent to the gas chamber. Then one day she made a giant mistake — she told the wrong person.

This book does sound interesting. Do you read a lot of true crime books? Sincerely, Judy

Marti Talbott (martitalbott) | 2 comments Hi Judy,

I used to read many, but haven't in a while. The only reason I wrote this one is because it is my true story.

Gee, it only took a year for me to answer your question? I am sorry, I get lost in this place.
