I've got two chapter sets left to read. Should I wait to respond to these questions or is there more of Davien to come in this novel?

It would be from what you know already. If things change, they change. I don't recall a great deal of change between this book and Stormed Fortress -- until the end, that is. :)

I definitely have more information than I had at the end of Peril's GateDo you feel he is 'trustworthy'? To whom? Himself? Yes. To the Fellowship? That's still up for debate. To the clanborn? Similar to the Fellowship. At least he has no love for the Koriani nor for necromancers (who does?). Between Arithon and Davien ... hmm
Where do you think his motives might lead him? I'm not convinced I have enough information to clearly define his motives. My gut tells me he wants out of the drake binding and would rather that the human refugees had been shipped off through a World Gate when they sought sanctuary.
Is he an asset or a detriment to his Fellowship colleagues? Or both? Both.
I need to re-read the scene between Dakar and Davien towards the end of Traitor's Knot to determine if Davien trampled on Dakar's free will or not. Perhaps I missed a reference to Arithon granting Davien permission to do that through Dakar's previous grant of permission to Arithon?
