Honest pursuit of the Christian life

I consider this one of the five best books I have ever read. It discusses Christianity as the love affair that it is between mankind and God and at the same time deals with the deep issues of pain we all experience using the "arrows" of Ps 91:5. It touches on man's deep desire to be romanced (great movie and personal illustrations) as well as how to deal with the "arrows" in life.

It explains in answering human's hunger for relationship, that can only be achieved if being founded in the love of God for man through His Son Jesus Christ.

These are old posts, but for some reason they came up on my discussions lists. I just read Eldredge's Beautiful Outlaw, and thought it was excellent. If you like The Sacred Romance, I think you'll appreciate this one also.
