Physician, heal thyself!

DON'T DO IT!"

Not NSFW, but I keep hearing the theme from Ghostbusters and what I imagine is Kevin's voice saying, "I ain't afraid-a no pokes."

Shirley (shirleythekindlereader) I discovered that if I need to have blood taken I have very good veins in my hand and now make them use my hand NOT the crease of my elbow. They use a smaller needle and not as easy to miss.

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Holy hell. I'm worried that if I need a band-aid near Kevin in the future he's going to try to sew a denim patch onto my tiny wound.

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments Kevin, my husband gives himself and his dog stiches all the time...you are not alone in this. I won't let him have syringes of any kind lest he do the same thing with it that you did, because he would, I just know it!

No. Unless the phlebotomist or nurse is really bad at finding a good vein, and it takes them 7 tries. A good phlebotomist is worth their weight in (blood, filthy lucre, cubic zirconia etc.).

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3598 comments I've never been afraid of needles, but I don't watch them go in. A couple of years ago, a nurse gave me a flu shot toward the back of my arm, and my arm hurt and was weak for a year. Now I watch where she puts the needle.

evie (ecie) | 4446 comments I recently had a tooth filled by a dentist who was not my regular dentist. My jaw was sore at the site of one of the injections for about 3 weeks after the procedure.
