E. (dilawrosas) | 507 comments Congratulations for the participants who had finished since I last came here!!!

I've been out-of-the-loop for a while. My focus had been on life's intrusions and so, I hadn't updated my status for about a week.

Anyway, since it will take some time, I'll just briefly put this up:

Fifth Day Of Christmas (The Best of Betty Neels) by Betty Neels
Willing (Mercenary/Goddard Project, #4) (Mercenary Trilogy, #2) by Lucy Monroe

Umm, I'll add when I finished them later. But I HAVE finished reading them.

Yup! But since there are still a few more days left of Winter (a.k.a. the challenge) I decided I might as well add the books that I've been reading thus far into the challenge. Hence, the two books and hopefully, the book that I'm currently reading.

So in essence, this is what it is:

4/4 + 2

You could say that the 2 is "extra" reading for the challenge.

E. (dilawrosas) | 507 comments Also...I feel sorta guilty about the the word that I took out due to the pressure of life's intrusions. Thus, to appease my guilt, I decided to read more books. So...uhh...you could say that the word that I took out is "EXTRA HELPING" and such for me.

So expect me to be here again to make a final "countdown" (cue the song w/ the lyrics 'It's the FINAL COUNTDOWN!') about my winter challenge. Ehehehehehe...

message 371: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember, these are guilt free challenges! You can change them whenever you want to!

In fact, I'm so horrible about changing that it's almost a guaranteed "back to the bookshelf" if I list a book ahead of time. The only way I can stick with the challenge is if I list them AFTER I've read them!

See, when I under the pressure (though I still am under pressure) I thought that I couldn't do it. I only added that word in case that I finished the word that I committed to w/ extra time to spare. Thus, when the word was added to my total, I felt bad and put pressure on myself to read that much. And now that I have this "extra time" I felt that I can accomplish it. DEPENDING/HOPING that I'll meet the deadline for this challenge.

December 21st to March 20th

4/4 + 3

I = Ivo van der Werff IN Fifth Day Of Christmas - Betty Neels ~ [2/18/2011]
(') = Dante's Marriage Pact - Day Leclaire ~ [12/29/2010]
M = Monroe, Lucy - Willing (Mercenary/Goddard Project, #4) ~ [3/3/2011]

C = Christine Feehan - Ruthless Game ~ [1/14/2011]
O = Olivia Gates - To Tame a Sheikh ~ [12/31/2010]
L = Leland, Rebecca IN In Pursuit of a Scandalous Lady - Gayle Callen ~ [3/16/2011]
D = Dragons IN How to Train Your Dragon - Cressida Cowell ~ [2/4/2011]

I FINISHED MY "EXTRA HELPING" portion!!!!! I sorta switched two books due to the (') clause not fitting the last book that I finished. However, it all fits quite nicely. Maybe next time that I used that (') clause I'll expand on it a bit. Next time...

Anyway, for this challenge, that means I finished 7 books! Yay!!!!! I feel so proud of myself. ^__^
