Jacqueline Quackenbush Hey, I'm currently double majoring in Bio and French, but am thinking of applying for a public policy fellowship next semester because I have an interest in the topic (and the scholarship offered isnt too shabby lol).

Anyway, while I consider myself fairly up to date when it comes to current events and things of that nature, I think it would be beneficial to get a more solid academic background on the topics of political science before I apply. So since my opportunity to take actual poli sci classes is limited I'm looking for some good books I could pick up.

I looked on amazon but all the books seemed very politically one sided rather than sources of general information. Any recommendations you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm interested in really any type of political book (international, national, history, general knowledge, economical) that isn't too radically in favor of a particular political party, although if it has to sway one way I am rather left sided myself.

Thanks again!

Skimming through the selection right now and it already looks very promising. Thanks a ton! :)
