Amanda (writers_soul) Hey everyone,

I have a huge to-read pile but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that I might really like. I really like Horror, mystery, realistic fiction, and historical fiction.

Some Books I really like/love are:
Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan

Demonata series 1-6 (I haven't finished it yet) by Darren Shan

Harry Potter 1-4 (haven't finished that one yet either)

Time Windows by Kathryn Reiss

Dreadful Sorry by Kathryn Reiss

Tower of Evil by Mary Main

Anne Frank the Diary of a young girl.

These are just a few book that I gave 4-5 stars too. I would also like some book recommendation that have to do with: Witchcraft, occults, demons, holocaust, slavery, etc.

slavery - Chains and Forge

witchcraft - L.J. Smith's Night World and Secret Circle books

historical - Fever 1793, A Northern Light

Julia | 432 comments slavery, modern - Sold.

slavery, historical- (Besides Chains, which I also loved & I'm looking forward to Forge.) KindredOctavia E. Butler Kindred by Octavia E. Butler .

witchcraft- Witch Child, Sorceress by Celia Rees. The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry and The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe and The Heretic's Daughter.

science fiction/ mystery/ military sf - The Warrior's Apprentice or Young Miles.

holocaust- There's a new novel from the POV of Peter Van Pelt who was in the annex with Anne Frank, but I can't find the title or author. Try The True Story of Hansel and Gretel or The Book Thief or The Devil's Arithmetic.
