I Saw A Bird

I saw a bird
It was special
I could tell
I saw a bird
It had gray wings
A gray body
And a beak as black as night
Yes, I saw this bird
It had a wing that bent at the tip
The bird tried
It tried so hard to fly
Each day it tried
Each day it fell
Again and again
Stop, i wanted to say
But this bird
Had something deep inside
That helped him to keep going
I saw a bird
It was special
I could tell
Because
This bird soared into the sky

Nice work, Yeana. I see the meaning to it, never give up? Is it that?
It's unique in it's own special way.

Gone

The rain pours
The wind blows
A child's wail rising
Where is she?
Where?
The sky darkens
The air silent
A man's sob calls
Where have you gone?
Where?
She was gone
Her elegant brown hair,
Gone
Her alabaster skin,
Gone
Her smile
Unforgettable
And always glowing
She was
a mother
a wife
a teacher
a fighter
But she is gone.
She has lost the battle
She is gone, yes
But she will live on
In our memories
Our past
Our present
The sun breaks
Through the gray night
A new day is upon us
A child's wail rises
Where is my mother?
And someone answers;
She is among us

My Eyes Cannot Be Fooled

I have one green eye and one blue eye. One eye sees the truth, the other sees more. In the dead of night when night's shadows dimmed the stars glow, a shrill scream shattered night's peace. My green eye blinked awake, then my blue eye... i knew something was wrong....

message 34: by Rosalyn (new)

Rosalyn Leigh (t-rose) wow...where the heck have i been? this is really good. im thinking cocaine is that "powdery substance" referenced here..am i right? i mean, given the feelings that this character is going through, i can see how this could be a reaction to it..anyway, once again, good job

wow Yeana...this is amazing.especially for this to be "nothing related" to your life. it's definitely deep, it's highly emotional, i can just feel the anger and despair jumping off the page and smacking me in the face. i also sense a little sarcasm here. i almost expect the girl to say "but trust me, i don't need you now" you know? it sounds like she's lost but at the same time she's confident that she can get on alone because she's still courageous enough to tell the man that he really screwed up by not being. but this does not mean that there isn't also a sense of fear. She may not need her father to be there physically but she needs him there emotionally. i love this. awesome job as always.

message 36: by Rosalyn (new)

Rosalyn Leigh (t-rose) no problem yeana. that's what im here for. i love to help when i can =)

message 37: by Rosalyn (new)

Rosalyn Leigh (t-rose) and no, you haven't lost your touch at all. i promise you that

message 38: by Rosalyn (new)

Rosalyn Leigh (t-rose) thank you. i used to have more posted but i deleted it all except for Moments Like This. im thinking about posting something new but im not sure

message 39: by Rosalyn (new)

Rosalyn Leigh (t-rose) o this is awesome! i love this. very edgy and mysterious. and what a great way to end it with that last paragraph "the twelfth child was me..." aaaahhh! very very clever to round this off yeana. please do continue.

btw there are a few spelling errors in here: collesium is actually spelled as either colosseum or coliseum and twelth is twelfth

good job

message 40: by Rosalyn (new)

Rosalyn Leigh (t-rose) o they will alright =)
