I read this book a long time ago, in like 2005 or so. It had a little girl who had an older sister and they shared a bed. The little girl found a four leaf clover and stuck it in wax and put it on the head board. Her older sister said it wouldn't stay but it did. Its a children's book but I just can't remember the name of it. I think she had a friend who was a boy and then he moved.

How about The Secret Life of Amanda K. Woods by Ann Cameron.
Description on GoodReads:
Amanda Woods is discovering that there are some things in life that you just can't change, like who your parents are or how your older sister treats you, but she is determined to change what she can. To begin with, she's not going to be just plain Amanda Woods (the girl her mother seems to think is just average). She's going to be Amanda K. Woods - someone who is proud and strong and sure of herself, someone who can have a French pen pal and a best friend of her own choosing, someone who finds four-leaf clovers and can get perfect scores on her math homework. There is more to Amanda than anyone else can see, things about her that Amanda herself doesn't even know yet, but she's finding out.
The first review mentions the neighbor, who is her best and only friend, has just moved away.
Quote snippets found on Google Books:
"Amanda knew that putting up her clover in her and Margaret's room might cause a fight with Margaret, but she did it anyway."
"...four-leaf clover in the middle of the top of the bedstead. The clover was quite dry, but it was still a real four-leaf..."
"Margaret paused. 'All right,' she said, leave the clover. Until it falls down.' She made a face at it and left..."
