Joy, can jump in we are only in the second week! It's being done by the Chunksters book group here on Goodreads. I run it with a Goodreads friends of mine and we only read books that are 500+ pages. We just finished Anna Karenina, Volume 1. We are also a couple of weeks away from wrapping up The Stand. It's a fun group and a few of the people here are also members there.

I almost did sign up and join the chunksters group and start in reading it, but I really want to finish W&P, and the thought of reading two huge ones at a time, not to mention trying to get caught up with you guys kinda overwhelmed me! So maybe next year!

Silver, Room is being raved about from lots of people I know. Looks like you liked it, but didn't love it.

message 21: by Silver (new)

Silver | 511 comments Yes, that sums it up, I felt that it was average, I did not absolutely hate it, and it did have its good points, but there were some things about it which annoyed me. I was not as enchanted by it as it seems some people have become.
