My Hollywood by Mona Simpson

message 3: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) I'll nominate ROOM since it was popular choice for the last poll and because I really want to read it and just got my copy of it.

By the by, I heard that My Hollywood is a really good read, Wallace. Good pick!

JudiAnne (judipatooti) I nominate The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. It is on my to-read list and I would like a push in it's direction.

message 5: by Zoe (new)

Zoe | 113 comments I second My Hollywood AND Room. I want to read both!

JudiAnne (judipatooti) There is a listing on Goodreads for My Hollywood by two different authors. Which one are we nominating?

The one by Mona Simpson. If you click the book cover above it will take you to the book. I will put all of these titles in the poll so we can vote next week. And I'll include any others that are mentioned as well. :)

Kaliki, I read this and it was great.

message 16: by Melissa (new)

Melissa I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to read it by the end of the year, so I thought I'd nominate it and maybe be able to discuss it. I'm glad you liked it!

message 19: by PDXReader (new)

PDXReader I'm still trying to get folks to read The Lotus Eaters with me, so that's my November nomination.

That sounds like a great book and one that is my kind of book. I just put it on my to-read shelves and now I will start searching for it. I would like to read this for November!
