I hope that you like it. It is a completely different feel from Kenyon's Dark Hunter Series, but I really enjoyed it. You'll have to let me know what you thought of it when you get the chance to read it.

message 7: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I've never read anything by Kenyon before so it'll be my first book by her, I'll let you know what I think for sure.

message 8: by Sans (new)

Sans Harry Potter - The Philosopher's Stone
The Seven Kingdoms - Graceling
Twilight - Twilight

Um...not sure I've read any other YA series that I loved. Must ponder this further.

~~*Julie Kawalec-pearson (jewl) | 43 comments I also loved trixie belden. Those are very old they are even to old to be "old school". I read them when I was a kid. My mom had bought me the whole set at a garage sale because she read them when she was a kid.

message 10: by Sans (new)

Sans I loved Nancy Drew when I was a pre-teen. I can't remember what the first book might have been. I know I didn't read the entire series.

message 11: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I've never heard of Trixie Nelsen, Julie.

Sans, Nancy Drew was the first series that I ever read. I didn't read all of them but I'm pretty sure I read about 30 of them (if not more). They are a reading staple, I plan on passing them on to my little sister when she's old enough.

3) Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
4) Mortal Instruments by / Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
5) Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
6) House of Night by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
7) The Seven Kingdoms by Kristin Cashore
8) The Queen's Thief by Megan Whalen Turner

Sans Sashana, did you read the originals or the Nancy Drew Files series from the mid-80's? I read several of the originals (one of the only things my maternal grandmother gave me other than constant lectures about school and money) and most of the Files. I loved those. I was just browsing GR and was getting nostalgic looking at all the old covers.

message 14: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Yes, I have the originals. They belonged to my dad and he gave them to me along with some Hardy boys. I have some from the 90s too (the paperbacks) and I have the ones where Nancy and the Hardy Boys team up to solve mysteries together.

Okay, I changed it to top ten or more.

~~*Julie Kawalec-pearson (jewl) | 43 comments It was Nelsen I spelled it wrong

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 466 comments Lisarenee wrote: "Lacy are the books you linked to for the series your favorite of the series or the first book in the series?"

The first in the series. Some of the series I have only read a book because I just recently started getting into the YA book. I had to find something new to read while waiting for the next book in some of my series to come out.
