Lobstergirl So this book
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/69...

has a 10-digit ISBN which says it's
http://www.worldcat.org/title/world-h...

but a 13-digit ISBN which says it's
http://www.worldcat.org/search?q=9781...

Which is it? Does it matter? Flip a coin?

Michael | 262 comments The correct ISBN 10 for the John le Carré is 1850521700 according to Amazon, so I have changed it in the GR record accordingly.

Lobstergirl Except the 2 ISBNS it now has are still pointing to two different books.

message 4: by Michael (new)

Michael | 262 comments Ah! No I haven't as that ISBN 10 is already assigned to another edition of the Omnibus le Carré! Will investigate further!

Michael | 262 comments Hmm, strange. I have deleted the ISBN 10, as that is does seem to be wrong for the le Carré on the book sites I've checked. Will it get auto re-populated?

It's these damn Octopus books again! ;-)

message 6: by Michael (new)

Michael | 262 comments Right, the book with the ISBN10: 1850521700 has no ISBN 13, and the the book with ISBN13: 9781850521709 has no ISBN10 (because I just deleted it as it was wrong). They're both by Octopus and published date 1990.

So, I'm guessing that these two le Carré books are the same and could be merged - what d'ya think?

message 7: by Lobstergirl (new)

Lobstergirl Yes. I merged them and deleted the original. I'm not entirely sure why a search for ISBN 0153734604 now brings up this book, though, since that is not its ISBN-10.
