Be careful with New Moon though. At chapter three I was silently crying and by chapter 4 I was sobbing and it didn't stop until the end of the book. Eclipse is super good too. But I would read them before this fall when the forth one comes out.

that we have so many book out in the world for people likening style

hmmm...I don't really know how this was intended...I'm not sure why you would think that my post was addressing you, as you weren't actually mocking anyone, were you? (or, well, before your most recent post, of course)

if you were merely interjecting so as to defend the oh-so-noble right to mock strangers for sport, then fine- whatever. your opinion, we all have one. but I stand by my opinion that people who make fun of others for not sharing an opinion are being...well...you know- that OTHER thing that everyone has.

I'm going to stand up for Samantha here. She wasn't "mocking" Twilight in her second post, she was merely epressing her opinion that Twilight depicts a disturbing and disgusting relationship. I happen to agree. And that's not hating - it's a truth that I have researched and deliberated on. If you want to get into that debate, fine, we can get into it.

If not, lets just express our opinions (since this thread was posted where everyone who has read Twilight can see it, not just fans of the series), and leave it at that. No complaints from the fans about people who mock and dislike the series, and no personal attacks from people who hate the books.

In the end, let's all love and tolerate. Savvy? :)

I haven't finished composing my second response to samantha (as this is a discussion that I would like to continue), but I do want to go ahead and point out that I never said/thought that she was mocking twilight (which, I'd also like to point out, I never opposed- I'm talking about the mocking of FANS, not the BOOK...big difference, imo)...she was blatantly mocking me in her response to my post. that's what I was referring to. but I'm still perfectly capable/willing to discuss these things civilly.
