Maggie Grabbed this leaving work one day - thinking of it as a stop gap until I had something better to listen to. Girl was I surprised! Jenkins persuasive in her argument that the Carlisle students are the real "All Americans". I'm not a great fan of football but found the history fascinating. Lots more to this book than might first appear.

Sharon So enjoyed the history; American and football.

Richard Kevin I enjoyed the book, and the story of the Carlyle football team, but I think it glosses over the whole effort to Westernize American Indians by sending them from the west and midwest to a school in Pennsylvania. The man who ran the school did many good things, but he also made some mistakes, which I'm not sure are fully examined in this work.
