Melissa W (melissawiebe80) | 30 comments Just finished The Red Queen. A very interesting read, as I knew nothing of Margaret Beaufort before reading this book, but knew a lot about her great-grandson, Henry VIII, and her great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth I (one of Margaret's descendants was Mary, Queen of Scots, whose grandmother was Margaret's granddaughter, Margaret Tudor).

What I will say about this book is that you can certainly see where the ambition in the Tudor family came from and how it seemed to infiltrate that family for a number of generations, at least until the early eighteenth century with the death of Anne in 1707.

Sept.25: I did some more research and actually the present royal family is descended from Margaret Beaufort.
