Poesy (poesymadigan) I would like to dedicate this thread to things we find in the world that we want to share, things that aren't necessarily BFYA or even book related (but still appropriate for a 12+ age bracket).

The first goes out to Miss Briony - penguin fun:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMeee9...

And the song I promised some of you today - "Little Potato": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vzB6h...

Well, you asked.

Karma | 94 comments So, this is kind of book related, but I didn't really have anywhere else to put it. and I didn't want to start a new discussion JUST for this. That being said,

*rubik's

Sorry, that's kinda a pet peeve of mine. It's a cube that belongs to a guy called Rubik, not a Cube named Rubix!

And speaking of rubik's cubes, this is kinda cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8RgrD...

Poesy (poesymadigan) Who even thinks to add a pogo stick to the equation?

Also, couldn't someone have given him a can of WD-40? The squeaking was terrible, like a bad mattress had come to life.

Poesy (poesymadigan) Because sometimes the judges get it right:

Poesy (poesymadigan) Great use of a capella.

I would really like to know what prompted these men to do this.

You know, he could have taped it backwards and just mixed it up, but the talking was pretty convincing.

I WANT A HUNGER GAMES.... Whatever that is!

Poesy (poesymadigan) Okay, this may seem corny to some of you, but give it a chance. The following YouTube posts are by chorus middle schoolers from PS22 (22nd Public School in Staten Island, New York).

No one has told the kids not to move when they sing, and it's obvious that the human body is meant to move and sway when making music. I think the kids are awfully brave, despite the bad camera and sound work. This is why I like working with kids and teens - all of you are capable of just about anything.

"Eye of the Tiger" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL0aDX...

"Landslide" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2p5au...

"Imagine" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJNWs5...

"I'll Stand By You" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQ65Fv...

They're the best part of a turkey.
