The Geeky Bibliophile (tgbreviews) I suspected all along that Roger would end up attempting to go through the stones, but when it finally happened I still couldn't believe he was really going to do it. All I can say is WOW. I was on the edge of my seat (literally) as I read through the chapter, worried silly that he would end up being killed, especially after reading the excerpts of Gillian/Geillis' book! The suspense was terrible, and I was a little reluctant to continue once he and Fiona arrived at the stones. LOL

Having said that, I'll have to wait a bit before I come back to this thread. I haven't read beyond Roger's disappearance through the stones, so I don't know yet where (or most importantly, when) he ended up. Can't wait to find out! I hope he's all right... and I hope he's able to find Brianna soon. There's no telling where she might be, with such a head start between her arrival and his.

I love this book. :)

Judith | 26 comments Ahhh to be back where you are, just getting acquainted with the characters. Fortunately I can re-read or re-listen to take me back to my "virginal" state. The adventures to come will delight you and your addiction will be complete. Welcome! We all love being addicted to the Outlander Series.

The Geeky Bibliophile (tgbreviews) I finished DOA two, maybe three, days ago. Oh my goodness... poor Roger went through quite a lot in this one, didn't he? I was "sure" he was dead at least half a dozen times. *shakes head* I didn't think he'd do very well in the 18th century, but I clearly didn't give him enough credit. LOL

I feel bad for being bored early on, when it focused on Roger and/or Brianna in the future. Their parts weren't lacking in adventures at all, the way it seemed it might in the beginning of the book. It's easy to see they will be as much fun to read about as Jamie and Claire. :)

Judith: Thank you for the welcome! I'm anxious for the time to come when I'm all caught up with the series, and able to roam around the forum freely without fear of possibly being spoiled. It will be great fun to take part in all the discussions finally.

Alycia | 236 comments I understand about Roger and Brianna, Betty. I always liked reading about J & C in the past more. It was definitely more interesting once they were in the past too.

Most definitely! I would get impatient reading their portions, because their 'present' was too dull, and there was always something really interesting happening with Jamie & Claire that I was dying to get back to.

Alycia | 236 comments Exactly! I felt that way in both Voyager and DOA. I haven't read past DOA yet.

The Geeky Bibliophile (tgbreviews) I'm just getting started on TFC, but that's the last book I have right now.

The Geeky Bibliophile (tgbreviews) Thanks Ledda, I'm enjoying it so far. It does start a bit slowly, but it hasn't been boring. Love having more to read about Jamie and Claire. :)

I completely agree.I just finished DOA and found myself staying up till all hours to read when DG was talking about Claire and Jamie, but didn't really get addicted to the Roger and Bree.

Alycia | 236 comments I'm glad I am not the only one who felt that way :)
