I've written two short fiction collections of fantasy stories, Inside Realms and Passing Fancies and a dark fantasy/vampire novella, Chronicles of the Undead. I'm currently writing an online sequel-of-sorts to Chronicles, called The Elite of the Blood and Song of the Wind and Sea, the first novel in my proposed Song Mage series. I'm also putting together a third collection of fantasy short fiction, Once Upon a Dark and Eerie...

Greetings all!
I have co-written five books in the dark fantasy / historical fiction / adventure genres mixing mythology, folklore, history, and vampire lore. My co-author is Heather Poinsett Dunbar. We have two books in print from the Morrigan's Brood Series, and we will have three other books in the same series coming out later. The five novels in the Morrigan's Brood Series are Morrigan's Brood, Morrigan's Brood: Crone of War, Morrigan's Brood: Dark Alliance, Morrigan's Brood: Curse of Venus, and Morrigan's Brood: Shards of Light.
Here are the covers:
We are currently writing books six through eight of the series, one of which will be called "Morrigan's Brood: Odin's Chosen" while another will be called "Morrigan's Brood: Dynasties of Night".
Cheers!

Hi all , My name is Paula Phillips and I work by day as a Librarian and by night and in the weekends in between study , I run a book review website called The Phantom Paragrapher. I review all genres and read all books from children’s to adults. My site is what some would call an Eclectic mix and I do like variety. If you have a book that you would like reviewed – I accept both Print and EBooks, or want a bit of promotion for a new release or event, how about an author interview or guest post? If this interests you, send me an email to Paulazone@live.com and check out my site www.thephantomparagrapher.blogspot.com.
Here's my newest science fiction novelShattered Earth, available only as an e-book at the moment.
Advanced humans, called Terrans, leave Earth when its threatened by a massive meteor. The remaining humans on Earth fall back into primitiveness. The advanced humans, and a group of aliens, the Ragnor, involve Earth in an interstellar war. Thousands of years later, the humans of Earth decide to do something about this. Interstellar politics will never be the same again once Earth is done with their revenge.
These Terrans involve themselves throughout human history. Some play as King Arthur and Merlin. Another is a scientist, whose name is Galileo, and he gets into all sorts of trouble for challenging official orthodoxy about the sun, the Earth, and which one is revolving around the other. Then, we have Amelia Earhart, who has a very valid reason for disappearing. When an alien spaceship gets shot down over Roswell in 1947, President Truman orders the creation of Area 51, Project Blue Book and Sign, and has the United States embark on a plan that will culminate 60 years in the future. Nothing will ever be the same again when the United States gets involved in interstellar politics. But, the whole plan backfires when Earth ends up the worse for wear over it. Other species find out what Earth did, since no one else was bold enough to even try, so they want to help bring down the Ragnor once and for all. The new President of the United States imagines a galactic federation or a republic, but, none of the other species wants anything to do with it. Once they destroy the Ragnor’s technology, they leave the Ragnor to ponder why all the other species hated them enough to attack them. Will the galaxy remain at peace?

Hey I'm a college student! I wrote a fiction book that some people have characterized as Science Fiction. It is an end of the world situation. A group of teenagers and childern ranging from 17-6 try to work together to stay alive. They come against, starvation, weather changes, and an escape prisoner who is seeking revenge! Instead of taking the SATs Aaron and Lauren try to take charge of the group along with trying to make sure their emotions do not get in the way of their lives. I'm hoping it is many books. It's nice to meet you all!End of the Line ~ Ottilie Weber

I have one book out, Draconia: Forging Trust, available in print and e-book.Right now, I'm working on selling my second book, Draconia: Fractured Dream, while I work on my third, Draconia: Rehatching.
The whole series deals with a world, Draconia, inhabited by sentient dragons and a Human colony established there; their endeavor to coexist peacefully with each other.
I'm mainly a writer of dark occult thriller titles, but am soon to release the first episode in a series of e-Books entitled 'The Wish & the Will' - fantasy/steampunk/science fiction adventure stories, featuring the exploits of a rag-tag group of heroes on the strange world of Mythnagar, set against a cosmic background of epic proportions. At times whimsical, weird, hilarious and decidedly off-beat, these stories have been over a decade in the making.
Some pre-release preview samples and background info is currently online, here at my writer's blog page:

Described by one reader as 'what might happen if Terry Pratchett and Monty Python sat down to rewrite Star Wars as a fairy tale, set in the Wild West and Dickensian London'. I also provide the full-colour illustrations which will be a feature of all the books.

I set out to write an epic scifi novel about a scientist trying to survive in a world that is becoming increasingly totalitarian, and ended up with a science fiction romance. Honestly, I have no idea how that happened...The EMPIRE is all of this and more.
Adrian Stannis is a brilliant scientist, a loner--unfortunately everyone wants him, one way or another...
Kali Mirren, an empathic humanoid--who is drawn to the one man on the ship who wants nothing to do with her, or anyone else.
Bryce--former thief, whose greatest wish is to do as little as possible and get away with it, becomes Adrian's assistant.
Can these three survive when the Empire comes calling? Or is Adrian harbouring a secret that will destroy them all?
Elizabeth wrote: "I set out to write an epic scifi novel about a scientist trying to survive in a world that is becoming increasingly totalitarian, and ended up with a science fiction romance. Honestly, I have no id..."Hahaha characters like to take over!
I have published one book: An Exercise in Futility. It's sort of a deconstruction of epic fantasy. I made it my goal early on to write a book that fit strictly within the genre while going out of my way to avoid the tropes I'm not fond of.I'm in the process of writing something that isn't quite a sequel, but takes place within the same mythos.
My YA book End of the Line, I'm currently changing the companies I'm with for it, it'll be lower in price, but it is still .99 cents for e-reader format!!
I'm doing a new feature called Author of the Week on my website - http://traceyalley.weebly.com/I'm trying to give back a little and hopefully promote some of our fantastic Indie talent. If you'd like to participate I'll need the blurb for your book/s, covers, brief author bio + links and a chat of about 750 of anything you want to talk about. I'm hoping it will become quite popular and that all my Goodreads friends will get behind it and have a look and maybe even promote it for me as well ;)

Greetings!Our cover artist,
Khanada Taylor, outdid herself with her work on our third novel of the Morrigan's Brood Series, Morrigan's Brood: Dark Alliance (after also drawing the cover for book 2 of the series and compiling the cover of book 1 using the triscelle Dayna Hartley and I drew), and here is the new cover:
.All of our cover art is designed to resemble tarot cards. Morrigan's Brood's cover is the World/Universe
, Morrigan's Brood: Crone of War's cover is Revenge
, and Morrigan's Brood: Dark Alliance's cover is the King of Swords
.The new cover features one of the main characters, Mandubratius sitting casually in the throne of Charlemagne with the Emperor's sword upon his shoulder and the Emperor's crown casually dangling from his booted foot. In his right hand, Mandubratius dangles a marionette depicting the Emperor and Pope Leo III, and that meaning is explained in the story.
Also important to the cover imagery is the tapestry behind Mandubratius, which bears the triscelle from the Brood of Morrigan featured on the cover of
Morrigan's Brood, and a sneaky black cat, who first appears in a soon-to-be-released short story, Morrigan's Brood: Madness, but without a name; he later shows up in
Morrigan's Brood: Shards of Light.I hope you enjoy the new cover and stay a while on the book's Goodreads page to browse what content we have to offer.
Cheers!

I wrote the 2012 asteroid-impact novel Regolith (sign up for the giveaway!) about the largest asteroid strike in 65 million years.
When I was in the hospital I got this amazing idea for a mystery/thriller novel which I started work on [I know, should finish what you start first but...] and I was really loving it. Then when I came home and got serious about doing the final edits for Slade's Destiny I was suddenly struck with the almost complete plot for a new fantasy book, set in Kaynos, but about 20 years after the Witchcraft Wars finishes. Now I can't decide which one to write first.... aaargh!
I think I'm late to the party here . . ."Valhalla" -- about the Norse gods having to work regular jobs in Portland, all while trying to save the world from one of the own (and deal with a powerful, teenage witch who doesn't know her own strength) -- is coming out as an ebook on 4/29.
This summer, I've got two more due to be released. "Witches Brew" (July 2011) is about two cousins who discover a magical plant growing in their great-uncle's garden. And "Iduna's Apples" (September 2011) is the second in the "Valhalla" series, sending the gods to modern-day Norway to battle the Frost Giants.
But frankly, with all the marketing I've been doing, I'm beginning to wonder when I'll have the opportunity to sit down and *write* again, which is a concern. So many stories left to tackle! Even my annual participation in National Novel Writing Month -- which is AWESOME if you've not tried it, and always helps me knock out a first draft -- may be in question this year.
How many of you write short stories? I've been thinking of trying my hand at this format -- another item on my to-do list . . .
#1 on Amazon for Kindle Epic Fantasy!
I've written a fantasy/sci-fi/military fiction series that's just starting to gain some traction, but I need reviews. If you're interested in reading the series for free, I could use your help. Here's the plan:
Book One is FREE. Download your copy from any major online retailer. In exchange for a review (at Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, preferably all of them) of Book One, I'll send you a coupon code to download Book Two for FREE. Diddo for Book Two.
When you've posted a review, just send me a link at jasontesar@yahoo.com with Coupon Code as the message title. I’ll return your email with a code that can be entered at Smashwords.com (during checkout) to make the next book FREE. If you’re unfamiliar with Smashwords, they have a variety of electronic file formats that are compatible with just about every reader type.
Happy Reading!

Hi!Paulette Jaxton here, author of the Empress Sword. It's a fantasy novel about a brave young prince, a fearsome dragon and a magic sword. The prince's adventure to find the sword takes an atypical turn when the sword refuses to be touched by any man and demands the prince become a princess.
I write in both fantasy and science fiction, but first novel just happens to be fantasy. I do hope to get back to scifi eventually, but the new 800Lb gorilla in the room seems to be Steampunk and I might try my hand at that first.

Hi everyone! I'm Kate and I write Science Fiction and Fantasy most, but reserve the right to write in other genres. I write because I NEED to get those ideas out and see them in writing. I usually prefer to work on several things at once and switch between them.I just self-published my first book at the end of September, The Disenchanted Pet, which is a Sci Fi.
I'm working on a Fantasy book now called The Lustre, and have a third half-finished called "How to Win Friends and Influence Magicians".
Hi all!I'm Philippa (Pip) Ballantine.
I'm the author of the Books of the Order Series (Geist Spectyr Wrayth and Harbinger) It's where I get to explore the supernatural in a fantasy setting, and the characters are a little older than you would usually find in fantasy. From what I hear, people are enjoying that.
I am also the co-author (with my husband Tee Morris) of the steampunk romp Phoenix Rising That's where I have fun with history, and gears and adventure.
In between I am indie publishing short stories set in the Ministry series, and working on a new series coming out with Pyr books.
I've always written fantasy and science fiction
Hello everyone. I'm Chris, obviously a fantasy and sci-fi writer, soon to add the title "author" to that. Several pieces of my short fiction have been previously published, but in about a month I'll be publishing my first novel - a fantasy piece titled "The Hollow March." Going for the dark, character-driven, realism-influenced vein of fantasy, entering into an almost renaissance like era of the world - gunpowder beginning to be a real force and all that. I intend it to be the first in one of the ever-popular trilogy formats.
Already hard at work on the sequel, and I eventually plan to release 1-2 collections of short fiction set in the same world. Dates on those are still up in the air, though, as I ponder what would probably make the best pacing/marketing sense. Meanwhile, I blog away on some of the details of the world and on the process of production. Fun times I'd say, all around. Pleasure to see so many other Fantasy and Sci-fi writers about!

IF: What do you think is the purpose of Fantasy?K.R.: I think getting to transport the reader to a place that is impossible in our reality is an excellent reason to enjoy fantasy. Science has taken us far, but experiencing the wonder of an enchanted object or transforming into a bird through a magic spell to soar, is something that is exciting to dream about. Imagination is fundamentally important, as without it, we couldn't achieve as much as we have - our
species I mean - and dreaming of the impossible, often leads us to find ways to make it happen in our world through creativity and ingenuity.
Fantasy is a driving force.
Jim - What follows is undoubtedly massively off-topic for this conversation, but I have to point out that by adding warning signs to a work (a novel, a film, a comic - whatever) seems to draw unnecessary heat on the material. AFAIK, there has never been a concerted effort to label books in the way that, say, CDs or films have to carry content warnings.
Go look for Frank Miller's diatribe against giving content warnings (originally published a few years back). Essentially, he argues that it gives people who want to ban things an easy target, and separates the market. Also, neither the cover of Lady Chatterley's Lover nor The Satanic Verses carry warnings. Make of that what you will.
My next two books (Books 2 and 3 of my Draconia series) are coming soon to e-book format. Both are available now for pre-order from Apple, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo.

Here is a poem about my books. It's called Full Moon Bloodlust.
When the moonlight strikes me, I am filled with power. In an evil age, in my darkest hour. Death and Destruction are the pleasures of my life. A lonely life filled with agony. Here I stand upon this Ledge with sword in hand I hereby pledge. That in the full moon's waning light. I shall make my Sacrifice. The Fog drifts down the hills into my dark domain. My senses sharp and I Insane. Into the woods I go with the moonlight as my guide. I now creep like the mist and from my wrath you can not hide. I shall avenge all I have lost. Behold the coming of death with your now ending immortal life. I shall make my sacrifice. Unto the goddess of the night. I shall make my sacrifice.
Greetings and salutations! I'm a first-time author with a story to tell..."Born with lustrous silver hair, Seeliyah's life changes forever when the beautiful stranger Aureen confronts Seeliyah's father with a challenge: return with her to Draco Keep, ancient stronghold of the dragon nation. There he must find a way to prevent the evil red dragon Duk Flar from launching a war against all the other races.
Even more shocking for Seeliyah is the revelation about her father's origins: though he appears human, he was once a powerful dragon himself, cast out of the dragon nation for a crime which Aureen now suspects he never committed.
Though Seeliyah's father refuses to go, he sends his daughter in his stead, for the blood of dragons runs through her veins as well. Together with her childhood friend Colvin, Seeliyah embarks on a journey to mythical Draco Keep, where she must learn the truth about her family's past while she tries to save the future."
