Comparing Characters

I've been reading some books and it made me think of how said characters sorta reminded me of anime/manga characters.

What am I talking about? Let me give you some examples:

Married By Morning by Lisa Kleypas features Leo Hart and Catherine Marks. The couple reminded me of Ami/Mercury and Zoisite from Sailor Moon. Leo and Zoisite are similar in their personalities, at least the personalities given by a lot of fanfic authors. Ami/Mercury and Catherine are similar in some aspects, though both are their own persons.

Can you think of any other comparison?

I can't help but compare characters because my mind is just that way.

Another instant where the fictional characters are loosely similar to anime/manga characters are in Nora Robert's Bride of Quartet series and how the couples there are very loosely linked to the Senshi/Generals from Sailor Moon. Again, VERY loosely linked there.
