brittany (cirilla) @Alison I live in New Zealand and yeah the price is ridiculous considering all the other books in the series are 14 bucks each!

TG January 18th! It should be here.. I hope it's here.. It HAS TO BE HERE! (My schedule has been out of whack because my lovely sister put me in charge of her 1&1/2 year old daughter... it's so hard!)

But yes tonight, I too shall not sleep. I feel a wave of reading coming on! I am currently reading Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry , Rampant (Killer Unicorns, #1) by Diana Peterfreund and The Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade which I shall put on hold once Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning I get!

Yeah, I get the book 1 thing. I wasn't that into it either. Everything after book 1 really is crazy good though. The series as a whole is full of goodness.

@ Carina,

Tonight's going to be a late night. I'll be reading until my eyes burn. I wonder if Joanna and Isa have already been able to get their copies.

@ Anagina,

*wicked grin* Enjoy Bones. Lord knows the rest of us do. If he was a real man, we'd be stepping over each other to get to him.

@ Camilla,

Yay for more Patch and Finnick!

@Stacia add me to the *stepping over each other to get Bones*. bunch :D

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Hahaha. If he looked at me and said, "Hallo Kitten," I'd probably fall out.

So I did read until my eyes burned last night. I'm not as far as you are though Isa. :( My toddler was in a full-on needy mood today.

I'm SO not cooking dinner tonight. I already gave warning that I would be very out of it tonight and I might ignore people if they're talking to me.

message 3712: by Carina (new)

Carina Why did you have to show my picture Stacia?? lol!

message 3713: by Alison (last edited Jan 18, 2011 05:52PM) (new)

Alison | 234 comments Well I am seriously hooked on Dreamfever, I don't think its going to take me long to read it so I can get onto Shadowfever. I just can't put it down. Got to read it before hubby gets home at weekend coz I don't get to read much when he's home, we spend time doing other things. Mac has just 'recovered' after her long bout of being in a room with Barrons. OMG!!!! She's not pink-Mac anymore.

Barrons = super sexy *grins*

Right, going back to stick my head in the kindle LOL.

lol! I finally had to give in to some sleep after reading the first half. I totally did not want to but I had to... and dang: can anyone feel the sexual tension? KMM is freaking amazing... and so is Vlane!

message 3716: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Jan 18, 2011 10:50PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) @ Alison,

Wasn't the first part of that book great? I didn't realize what was happening until I said to myself, "wait...is this what I think it is?"

@ Isa,

I have always loved V'lane. He was my first Fever love, even before Barrons. Barrons has now taken first spot in my heart, but V'lane better not fail me in this book or I might end up broken like Mac. :p

@ Patricia,

message 3722: by Isamlq (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Still only halfway...grrr. My house is in full on explosion mode. I can't get a chance to read in peace. I'll try to get at least close to finishing tonight.

message 3724: by Catherine (new)

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments I'm so happy that you guys finally got your book. This is me when City Of Fallen Angels comes out. lol

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh, I'll be happy when CoFA comes out too. :) It's just a different type of happy because I adore Jace. I'm not having anxiety over what happens next though. I just miss "my" Jace. Yeah. I said it. He's mine.

Fever has been the culmination of months of "WTH IS GOING TO HAPPEN" anxiety like you wouldn't believe. No other book series has had me wanting to know the conclusion more. Not even VA, Shifters or Tairen Soul came close and I had anticipation on all of those too.

*shakes fist* at all you people that are done already! I'd go read now if I didn't have a PS3 party going on my living room...sigh.

message 3726: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Yay for CoFA gunna pre-order soon

And Yay for PS3 party! Well would be for me lo

message 3727: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Jan 19, 2011 01:57PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Haha. I'll be buying CoFA in a hardcover instead of ebook copy and paying through the nose to have it delivered on release day. My older kid loves the books too, so I'll have to hold it close in order to prevent some thievery before I'm done reading it.

message 3728: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Hehe the place i order from delivers on release. I'm going to take the day off school to read it.

message 3729: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Oho and i'm also getting Shadowfever soon.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yeah, I saw that on your update. You are blazing through the books. What's your next series after this one?

message 3731: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I convinced my mum to pay half. I've been thinking about this one: Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh Archangel's Kiss (Guild Hunter, #2) by Nalini Singh

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I have those but have never gotten around to them. Next, I'll be working on finishing up series that are halfway read before starting any more new ones - I *hope* We see how often I stick to a plan...

message 3733: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I love the cover to the 3rd one so if i read them I have an excuse to buy it. I never stick to reading plans.

You can have it delivered day of release? Where from? I need to know. For sure.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Whatever the most expensive shipping option is, 1 day delivery I think. It usually ships a day or two before release, but if you get standard delivery, it comes 2 to 3 days after release.

Wow that sucks. I pay 4 bucks for overnight and they send it the day before release.

message 3737: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Jan 19, 2011 02:22PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I should just go buy it at the store, since the new releases are always there and not sold out. Even if one store was sold out, another would have it.

It's a stupid fear I have that if I don't pre-order the book it won't be there.

I already started buying this set in hardback so I can't switch to an ereader copy, which would be convenient since I can get those at 10 pm the day before release.

(anyone else getting stupid full screen pop up ads on GR?)

message 3738: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) You could ring up and pre-order a copy at the store and get them to hold one. I used to do that.

And I'm not getting pop ups.

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments All I know is that I need it the minute it goes out on the shelves. lol

message 3741: by Alison (new)

Alison | 234 comments Britnee, glad you are getting Shadowfever, that's nice of your mum.

I'm about 1/3rd way through Dreamfever and it's so awesome. I'm hoping the snow that just started and is supposed to get to 7 - 9" will prevent me from going to work tomorrow so I can read more and then order Shadowfever.

message 3742: by brittany (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) HO...LEE...

Just finished Shadowfever. This might be officially one of the best books I've ever read.

I think back to every series I've loved over the past year : Hunger Games, Mortal Instruments, Vampire Academy, Night Huntress...etc.

It's as if all of those books paled in comparison. If you have not read this series, you're missing out. Big time. The finale book was UNREAL.

(okay going to the spoiler thread now and ready to talk to you peeps that finished before me)

message 3746: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I just bought Shadowfever wooohooo.

message 3747: by Catherine (new)

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments I just finished Midnight Alley so tonight I am starting Pain Killers by Jerry Stahl & Romeo and Juliet by you know who & don't need a link. I figure Romeo & Juliet is going to be too much to just sit down & read all the way through all by itself, so I'll break it up with Pain Killers. That if I keep with reading either one of them. If I can't get into it, they are going back on the shelf so that I can read something I actually want to read. Like White Cat by Holly Black. Wish me luck!

Pain Killers by Jerry Stahl Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
