14 Swan Peak by James Lee Burke...INCREDIBLE!!!He is by far the best mystery writer ever.

(started it at 7ish last night and finished at 9:45am (I slept for awhile, woke up and read and then slept again until 6:30 and read until 9:45)
It was realll goood.

really good mystery with interesting characters...some who live in a group home for developmentally disabled adults

I was curious...I work in a middle school and wondered about the books.
Bought one, read it in 2 days. Bought the rest and read all of them (@2400 pages) in less than a week. They kept me up into the wee hours. Also, I found myself almost ripping the pages to get them turned!
I don't forsee me joining the 'Twilight cult', at 56 I'm not into cults much anymore, but they certainly were entertaining literature...good job, Stephanie Meyer.

I was disappointed in the end...I thought it kind of fizzled out, however, it there really is no end, I guess there really can't be a BIG FINISH.
Pretty fine book, especially for some one's first! Extremely complicated. Her mind must be something!
