Vanessa | 10 comments Construction sites and construction machines. My 6-yr-old son is bananas about construction and has been since he was 18 months old. We read all of the Tonka books to death, and every book we could find in the library (for kids and adults) on the subject. However, just doesn't seem to be that many - or enough to keep him happy, at any rate! One of the best ones I've found was written in 1980 or so, called "How to Wreck a Building" - it is VERY informative and he loved it. I haven't found any others like this - that are as full of info and good pictures.

Amy (ldtchr) | 7 comments My 4 yr old daughter and my nephews are also big into construction and trucks. I remember one of them having an awesome pop up book - the high level, gorgeous kind - called Big Dig. Don't remember much else, but highly recommend it!

Kim The Big Dig is the first one that comes to mind for me too. I have a 3 year old that is obsessed too, thanks for the recommendation.
