Rachel (randhrshipper1) | 35 comments I thought it would be extremely fun to discuss who we would cast in a film adaptation of the books in this series. The cool site http://storycasting.com/ lets you do just that, and Lauren has even put her own choices up! Here's the link to the Pink Carnation page on that site: http://storycasting.com/work.aspx?id=...

Here's a bit of my cast:
Eloise Kelly--Claire Danes
Colin Selwick-- Hugh Dancy
Amy Balcourt-- Natalie Portman
Richard Selwick-- Henry Cavill

I know that hair color will have to be altered a bit for some of these but I love these actors.

Who are your choices?

MzDivaDawn | 24 comments I absolutely LOVE Hugh Grant - could we fit HIM in somewhere? Maybe Miles Dorrington? Miles always has humor about him (as does Hugh Grant), though I'm not sure if he's too "old" to play the part?

MzDivaDawn | 24 comments Also, I'm not sure about age here either, but I think Colin Firth is good at playing stuffy as well as humorous, which (to me) might make him good for the part of Colin

Rachel (randhrshipper1) | 35 comments Oh, yeah, I'm afraid those Grant and Firth are a bit too old for those roles! They are wonderful actors, though, so maybe a future book of Lauren's will hold roles for them. :)

MzDivaDawn | 24 comments Hmmm - I like Matthew Goode & Rupert Friend, any place for them perhaps? They're younger

MzDivaDawn | 24 comments OHHHHHH or maybe even Orlando Bloom?

Rachel (randhrshipper1) | 35 comments yes, those boys are the right ages! And delicious to look at to boot! XD Goode would make a perfect Miles or Geoffrey, actually! :)

April | 4 comments For ome reason, I have an easier time casting the ladies than I do the fellas. i think Natalie Portman is a great Amy but I can't decide on the right Richard. I know Christian Bale is a big favorite on storycasting, and I am certainly never one to turn down Christian Bale :), but he seems a bit old for the part.

I think Jim Sturgess would make a good Geoffrey.

I am SO for Henry Cavill as Richard. Always have been! Here are some of my other choices --

Miles: Simon Woods (Mr. Bingley in the 2005 P&P)
Lord Vaughn: James Purefoy
Mary Alsworthy: Natalie Dormer (Anne Boleyn in "The Tudors)
Geoff: Matthew Goode

And Callum Blue...Callum Blue just needs to be cast somewhere. He just seems to fit!

Yes, Henry Cavill just needs more and more acting jobs, doesn't he? :)

And I like Callum Blue, too! He would fit in here somewhere...

April (chickpicks) | 3 comments I like Emma Thompson and Jim Broadbent (the guy who played Brigit's dad in BJ Diary) for the Uppingtons.
