How do you legitimately make claims when so much of the transactions are in cash. They should be able to at least put in a claim, and hopefully have their day in court so to speak for the losses that they are claiming, that they paid taxes on in the past.
I agree Barb, BP should pay through the teeth, and I hope that the outrage over what they did doesn't die down as soon as they get the well to stop pumping oil.

I agree with Barb and Mary.
Make BP - and every other company related to the oil drilling business - realize what a huge fucking mistake it is to cut corners and shortchange safety measures. Make them PAY.
There was news today that the SEC is investigating insider trading at BP right after the disaster. Charming people.

No, certainly there shouldn't be a free-for-all regarding claims. But if any legitimate business lost money due to BP, BP needs to suffer for that.
