Christina was already on her bed, changed into her ragged night clothes
Gus opened the door, then closed it again. He looked her over, and shook her head. "This will not do..." From behind his back he pulled out a silk night gown. "My mistress will not wear rags to sleep..." he murmured as he moved closer. He put the gown to the side.
Christina smiled and slipped off the rags
Gus looked her over again. He sat on the bed beside her, and moved hair out of her face.
