Steve I bought this after a trip to Prague and Budapest, but I couldn't get past page 40. Writing is very amateurish, clunky, and forced. Premise makes it seem like he's trying too hard, and he writes like he's telling instead of showing. I gave this book away, which is something I never do.

Anyone else?

Cassiel Wow, I had no idea what this book was about, when I picked it up in the used bookstore, but loving all things Prague....

And I do like this book very much; I picked up on the "Life is Elsewhere" theme right away and everything flowed. I loved that Prague was the absent character.

The writing style didn't impress me as below average, but if I like a book, I can be forgiving.
