I really have no idea what will happen. I'm sure they will try to fix whatever's happening to the town. And oh, those foxes will be aiming for revenge too, so Elena & co better watch out :P

Have you guys heard about the Vampire Diaries book controversy? Basically there gonna be getting a ghost writer to write more of the books instead of LJ Smith cos she wants Elena and Damon to get together. You can read about it here

That's so wrong! It's HER creative property, and she should write the books how she sees fit. Hell, if she wanted all of the characters to commit a mass suicide at the end, she should do just that. They are HER works. She needs a freaking lawyer.

I am very, very sad—sadder than I have ever been since my mother passed away—but there is absolutely nothing I can do. There will be no more Delena in the series—Not cool. I don't care if she was an author for hire and doesn't own the series. She should be able to write what she wants. Not sure why the publishers are so off board, since it's not like she's going far out in left field and hooking Elena up with a random new guy or something.
I don't read the books, but feel bad for the fans that do.
Honestly, I think the fans should do the one thing that will speak louder than any words or protesting :Don't buy the books.

Well, The Return was really ridiculous. I walked away from that one because every other page is Stefan and Elena like cuddlefucking and saying shit to one another like "oh, my little lovely love". It got obnoxious real quick. I'm thinking I might pick it up again, that way I know what happens in the next one, since it's supposedly Delena-centric.

I can't really figure out their motives for firing LJ Smith, aside from the fact that she wouldn't do what they wanted her to do. It doesn't make a lot of sense, because I'm sure they knew there'd be a huuuuuge backlash. Oh, and the spoilers. WTF?! Now, NO ONE is gonna buy the book because now we know that Elena ends up with Stefan the tool.
I'm so sick of characters ending up with 'their first true love' . ARGH. The show better not follow this.

It's possible that Smith is drawing her own conclusion about why she was really let go.Although, I'd think that it wouldn't be hard to tell her to change up her writing style a bit.
