Once I got past the first chapter, the book really picked up momentum. I'm in chapter 13 now. Anyone else out there reading it and this far?

I'm interested in the idea that Jane was calculating and ambitious. I always think of her as mousy and meek being pushed into the King's path by her brothers.
And wow, that Strickland woman didn't seem to like Jane one bit! It's a tad ironic (as Weir pointed out) that she was upset with Jane for actions she took which Anne herself previously took. I'm interested to read Strickland's book. Before reading this book, I had heard of Strickland because Plaidy often used her as a source, but I didn't realize she was a Victorian author.
