Well, the year is coming to a close--not that I'm done reading yet! But my page count is:10,643 pages, just this year (since I joined this year).
I'm so proud of myself :) Still a LONG way to go but woohoo!

Don't feel bad! I'm sure you have much more time to think about your characters, and not rush through their actions like the rest of us. My comprehension of the book itself isn't too good once I'm done with it.
Aww you're sweet! I have to say, I've had a few books really stick with me this year, the characters, the story, etc. I do so like to savor books, I hate when a good book ends especially if it's not a series (or if it's the last...I DREAD reading the last Harry Potter!!)
I agree! The last books can sometimes be the ones you hate just because they're the last. LOL :)
Sometimes I have to make myself slow down because the book is so good I want it to last. But other times I wish I could speed up bc I want the book to just end. *ugh*

I almost went into a freaky panic mode that the year is near finished. I finished 4 books this week and I need to finish one more to get 75/75 books done for this year for the 2011 GR challenge. 1 more book & I hit my goal. I'm excited.
The migraines still attack, but so far I have read 9 books (ouch) for a total of 3,042 pages this year.To Date: 44, 144 pages
TO GOAL: 955,856. Oy. At 42, that's seeming rather HUGE. Though I will say reading all 3 50 Shades books helped alot LOL
The migraines, the migraines, the stupid migraines....BUT I am planning on having migraine surgery in 2013, SO.....if it takes, Oh the reading I shall do!!! :DI read 11 books this year. Definitely not my best.

Thank you....I have chronic daily headache and complex migraine disease, so I normally have head pain every day--and it's really cutting into my reading :P I am very optimistic!!

It's something I will probably work on in the spring--the doctor is not close and I have some pre-testing to do first to make sure I'm a candidate for the surgery. Thanks :)

Nice :). Sad to say I never knew Buffy the Vampire Slayer existed until I saw it in the book section at Walmart a few years back haha.

Slowly but surely ;) The nook makes it easier for me to whip thru books....I don't know why lol.

Great progress so far! Hopefully you can reach your goal of 50 books this year. Mine is to read 35 books, I'm keeping the number low because last year I only read 30-something books.

This year, I read two short stories--recommended by son, who read them in school; as well as a children's book that my nephew LOVED. It's all reading, right?
Favorite book of the year:
The Storied Life of A.J.Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. If you haven't read this, RUN and get it. After reading the ebook, I purchased an autographed hardback. I actually hugged the book.

Nice to be here, and I have to say what a lovely goal. Not hard, but neither is it a slacker type of goal. I mean you have to READ and even if you're reading graphic novels I say that counts. There's some brain expansion going on here.
