I've been listening to this audio and finding it very slow going. It reminds me a bit of The Gargoyle in the hints of past lives touching on the current. However, I'm not finding the writing nearly as compelling as that book. While the author's writing is very descriptive, those descriptions aren't helping me understand the characters' motivations. Kostova is focusing that talent on the scenery rather than the people. I'm two-thirds of the way through and curious to know why Robert Oliver committed his crime, but not sure I can stick with it to find out.
