Would Starlighter fit this category?

I just finished reading Starlighter by Bryan Davis. I thought it might fall into this category because of the level of violence. There are dragons that burn people at the stake, sword fights that include blood, and people that are killed by each other and things cut out of their skin.

It was a pretty good book, I reviewed it on my blog.

Reading Teen - It certainl sounds as if Bryan Davis's Starlighter fits into this category.
