A buddy read... What is a buddy read? It is more or less reading the same amount of pages together (a small group of people) and then discussing them together. Then you continue on and discuss what is new in the book. It is so discussions can be made about the book. Talking about whatever you read so far and knowing that the other person should not be ahead of you so you can't spoil the book when you are talking about it.

I have started a few buddy reads.
However, if you have a book on your shelf that you want to read and discuss with a few others, you are more then welcome to make your own buddy read.
Good Luck and Have fun!!!

Thanks. It just seems so hard to get a book everyone likes. But I like to discuss so I think this would be a nice way to read.
If you have any ideas for books please let us know.
Or if you would like to start a buddyread have fun!

Last I heard, there will be 12 books in total.

Sorry I can't follow you there(HoN), but I'll try to keep up with Maximum Ride!

Gin: That's fine. I'm glad you'll be able to read the MR series with us. Are you reading The Angel Experiment with us on the 15th?
YES! I ordered it yesterday, should arrive in about a week :)
WHoop! Yes, I pulled in another book reader!
It helps when you bait with good books. ;)
As soon as we get farther into the HON series I know if it is a good or bad thing for 12 books. Series either get better or worse. We will soon find out.

Which do you think will work better for you -- reading so much and just talking until we both finish those chapters; or having a set day to finish?

I actually just finished Defiance last month so I wont read it with you, but I will say its ssooo good. It seemed like just another Hunger Games knock off at first but it turned out to kind of have its own little twists.
I read Crossed two years ago but I've been wanting to read Reached ever since I finished it. I loved it because it was out in the wild. It made it seem like it had a completely different approach. Which it kind of did and kind of didnt.
