Mary Karr is my hero.

She's witty, spicy, beautiful, and Liar's Club and Cherry are my favorite memoirs.
I love the raw language (you can tell this is how she would tell these stories to a friend). And by raw language, I mean I love the profanity mixed with the enormous vocab Karr's packin.

I just finished Cherry after reading The Liar's Club a few months back - I love her style - gritty and yet literary. Now on to Lit!

How can anyone disagree? I especially liked the the way she and her sister stood by each other (and continue to do so, no doubt.)
