Marked (House of Night, #1) by P.C. Cast
Marked by P.C. Cast and
Kristin Cast
The House of Night series is set in a world very much like our own, except in 16-year-old Zoey Redbird's world, vampyres have always existed. In this first book in the series, Zoey enters the House of Night, a school where, after having undergone the Change, she will train to become an adult vampire--that is, if she makes it through the Change. Not all of those who are chosen do. It’s tough to begin a new life, away from her parents and friends, and on top of that, Zoey finds she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess, Nyx. But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers. When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school's most elite club, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny--with a little help from her new vampyre friends.

Betrayed (House of Night, #2) by P.C. Cast
Betrayed by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
Fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird has managed to settle in at the House of Night. She’s come to terms with the vast powers the vampyre goddess, Nyx, has given her, and is getting a handle on being the new Leader of the Dark Daughters. Best of all, Zoey finally feels like she belongs--like she really fits in. She actually has a boyfriend…or two. Then the unthinkable happens: Human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey’s old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves. Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night, and Zoey must find the courage to face a betrayal that could break her heart, her soul, and jeopardize the very fabric of her world.

Chosen (House of Night, #3) by P.C. Cast
Chosen by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird’s adventures at the school take a mysterious turn. Those who appear to be friends are turning out to be enemies. And oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends. So begins the gripping third installment of this “highly addictive series” (Romantic Times), in which Zoey’s mettle will be tested like never before. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Zoey doesn’t have a clue how to help her, but she does know that anything she and Stevie Rae discover must be kept secret from everyone else at the House of Night, where trust has become a rare commodity. Speaking of rare: Zoey finds herself in the very unexpected and rare position of having three boyfriends. Mix a little bloodlust into the equation and the situation has the potential to spell social disaster. Just when it seems things couldn’t get any tougher, vampyres start turning up dead. Really dead. It looks like the People of Faith, and Zoey’s horrid step-father in particular, are tired of living side-by-side with vampyres. But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely reflects the truth…

Untamed (House of Night, #4) by P.C. Cast
Untamed by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
Life sucks when your friends are pissed at you. Just ask Zoey Redbird – she’s become an expert on suckiness. In one week she has gone from having three boyfriends to having none, and from having a close group of friends who trusted and supported her, to being an outcast. Speaking of friends, the only two Zoey has left are undead and unMarked. And Neferet has declared war on humans, which Zoey knows in her heart is wrong. But will anyone listen to her? Zoey's adventures at vampyre finishing school take a wild and dangerous turn as loyalties are tested, shocking true intentions come to light, and an ancient evil is awakened in PC and Kristin Cast's spellbinding fourth House of Night novel.

Hunted (House of Night, #5) by P.C. Cast
Hunted by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
The good news: Zoey’s friends have her back again and Stevie Rae and the red fledglings aren’t Neferet’s secrets any longer. The bad news: Ancient evil with the face of an angel has been let loose – that and various other nasties (whose faces aren’t so angelic). Grandma Redbird is in trouble. Heath is in trouble. The House of Night is in trouble. Okay, let’s face it – Zoey’s whole world is in trouble! But when the trouble comes from a being who appears to be beauty personified, will the world believe it? Especially when only a teenager and a group of misfits are the only ones who really understand the danger he brings. Will Zoey have the strength and wisdom to reveal the truth? Especially when, in the House of Night, the truth is often hard to come by…

Tempted (House of Night, #6) by P.C. Cast
Tempted by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
Zoey needs a break after some serious excitement. Sadly, the House of Night school for vampyres doesn't feature breaks on its curriculum - even for a High Priestess in training and her gang. Plus juggling three guys is no stress reliever, especially when one is a sexy Warrior so into protecting Zoey that he's sensing her emotions. Wider stresses lurk too, and the dark force in Tulsa's tunnels is spreading. Could Stevie Rae be responsible for more than a group of misfit fledglings? And Aphrodite's visions warn Zoey to stay away from the immortal Kalona and his dark allure - but they also show that only Zoey can stop him. She's not exactly keen to meet up, but if Zoey doesn't go to Kalona he'll exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. She just has to find the courage to do what's necessary, or everything that's important to her will be destroyed.

Burned (House of Night, #7) by P.C. Cast
Burned by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
Y’all need to get yourselves together. Here’s a newsflash from the only High Priestess you have left at this dang school: Zoey isn’t dead. And believe me, I know dead. I’ve been there, done that and got the fricken tee-shirt.

Zoey Redbird is the youngest High Priestess in House of Night history and is the only person – vamp or fledgling – that can stop the evil Neferet from raising all kinds of immortal trouble. And she might just have a chance if she wasn’t so busy being dead.

Well, dead is too strong a word. Stevie Rae knows she can bring her BFF back from her unscheduled va-cay in the Otherworld. But it’s going to take a lot more than hoping to bring Zoey back. Stevie Rae will have to give up a few secrets of her own . . .

Awakened (House of Night, #8) by P.C. Cast
Awakened by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
At the start of Awakened, the pulse-pounding eighth installment of the bestselling House of Night series, Zoey has returned, mostly whole, from the Otherworld to her rightful place as High Priestess at the House of Night. Her friends are just glad to have her back, but after losing her human consort, Heath, will Zoey—or her relationship with her super- hot Warrior, Stark—ever be the same? Stevie Rae is drawn even closer to Rephaim, the Raven Mocker with whom she shares a mysterious and powerful Imprint, but he is a dangerous secret that isolates her from her school, her red fledglings, and even her best friends. When the dark threat of Neferet—who is coming closer and closer to achieving her twisted goal of immortality—and Kalona returns, what will it take to keep the House of Night from being lost forever, and what will one desperate girl do to keep her heart from being irreparably broken?

Destined (House of Night, #9) by P.C. Cast
Destined by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
In Destined, the forces of Light and Dark collide as their epic struggle focuses on Tulsa's House of Night. Zoey is home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side and preparing to face off against Neferet. Kalona has released his hold on Rephaim, and, through Nyx's gift of a human form, he and Stevie Rae are finally able to be together if Rephaim can truly walk the path of the Goddess and stay free of his father's shadow.

But is Zoey really safe? Does she truly know those who are closest to her? And will love win when it is tested by the very soul of Darkness? Find out what s destined in the next thrilling chapter of the House of Night series.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ Great series. I am on book 3, Chosen, need to catch up. My Burned copy came in today from Amazon.

Helena (forbiddenLURVE) Interesting series, yet to get Burned on the weekend (hopefully)

message 4: by Morgan (new)

Morgan F (awesomeness1) Ugh. I dislike this series.

The first one is okay, but it just kept getting worse and worse with each book. Zoey is the most annoying narrator ever to exist. And they were dragging out the series waaaay too long.

I liked this series up till the fourth book, but than I found that they started to go down hill from there. My least favourite one so far is probably Hunted, there wasn't much at all I liked about that one. Also I found that with Tempted they spent too much time building up the book and it was kind of boring, and than they just rushed through the ending. But there were some things that came up in that book that are interesting and so I'm still going to continue the series for now, plus I hate to quit something halfway through.

message 6: by Ariel (new)

Ariel They all kind of run together for me . &I think they're alright but def not amazing or anything . I'll continue reading them to see what happens even if I'm only mildly intrested .. I wouldn't waste my money on these though people ! Borrrow or something , haha . :D

message 12: by Stacie (new)

Stacie Well I finished it... It leaves me wanting to kno wat happens next but the next book has to be better this one was not that good

message 13: by Helena (new)

Helena (forbiddenLURVE) ohhh... coz someone else said they loved it coz there was hardly any Zoey?

message 14: by Stacie (new)

Stacie There hardly isn't any Zoey but not much happens throughout the book

message 15: by Helena (new)

Helena (forbiddenLURVE) ohh i see... and is it mainly in Stevie Rae's PoV?

message 16: by Stacie (new)

Stacie Ya mainly but it has a little of everyones point of view too

message 17: by Helena (new)

message 18: by **Carla** (new)

**Carla** I like the series, especially the first 3 books. After that the books are still good but not as good and the story seems to be going on forever. But regardless I am hoping to be ready to read Burned by the end of the month or beginning of next month. I just have to let my friend know when I am ready for it and she will let me borrow hers.

Life is hard and then u die *Smiley* (greenpurpleblackmaggie) awesome series!and i agree with Carla the fourth one wuz still really good tho

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) I loved this series in the beginning, but it slowly began to go downhill. I really hated the choices Zoey was making and to be honest i almost gave up on it. But the last two books, Tempted and Burned saved it. The change of set out and various POV gives it a new freshness that it lacked.

I <3 Stevie-Rae and Rephliam and i CAN'T WAIT until Awakened!

I still need to read Burned! Was it any good? I hope it's better than the books have been lately.

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) YESSSSS!!!! The best one out of the whole series!!!!
Seriously, i can barely put into words how excited i am for Awakened. Burned was so much better than the last few books. Zoey does mope around in it over Heath and blah, blah, blah but there is more than enough other things going on with other characters that you actually barely notice how annoying and pathetic she is.

Okay, maybe I'll actually read it over christmas break. I really haven't liked the last few books.

me too :/
I got bored with the as two books so haven't been sure whether or not i should pick it up again

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) I liked Tempted and Burned, honestly before they came out of was ready to say sayonara to the series, but now not so much.....

message 26: by Helena (new)

Helena (forbiddenLURVE) cool,i guess ill pick them up again soon (:

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) You should. The last two change set out so instead of just getting a whole book about Zoey, there's POV's from Stevie-Rae, Aphrodite, Stark, Heath, Rephliam etc. It makes the books better cos you don't just here about Zoey all the time.

message 28: by Helena (new)

Helena (forbiddenLURVE) okk... except i find Stevie Rae a little boring :/

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) I found her to be like that at times too, she she actually gets more interesting. She has this thing with Rephliam that is really complicated and oh, so interesting. Do you remember him? He's Kalona's birdman son.

message 30: by Helena (new)

Helena (forbiddenLURVE) yeah I do, the one she's imprinted to right?

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) Yeah, she does imprint with him. And they're so cute! Honestly, i'll read the rest of the series just to see/hear about them, lol.

*Mrs. Brightside* This series sucked from the start, but it's slooooowllllly getting better(: the ending of Tempted is very sad and left me heart broken): I'm trying to read Burned, but I keep putting it off for the next day, then the next day, then the next day....

See the pattern? DX

Just finished Burned, and I was actually able to read it all without getting really bored. I really liked the start of this series but found that by book four or five it really started to just drag on and I wasn't very happy with the books. But This one was an improvement in my opinion. I like having the point of view of multiple characters because it adds more to the story. I'm also really interested in finding out what will happen with Stevie Rae and Rephaim, and have to say that my favourite parts of this book where the chapters written in their points of view. I'm actually looking forward to reading Awakened, which I haven't been able to say about a book from this series in some time.
