Have any of you folks come across any good fiction featuring or set in Houston, TX? This is kind of focus group reseach for my next novel. I'm just curious.
Mark, I think a number of mystery and suspense writers have set their books in Houston. Do you ever go to Murder by the Book on Bissonnet? The booksellers there really know the stock and can recommend. Also, Brazos books is just across the road from MBTB and might be another good source for you.
James Lee Burke is known for his stories set in New Iberia, LA, but he has a new series about a Texas lawyer. I haven't any reference handy to check it, but I believe that series is set in houston
