Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Well, it was truly disgusting here yesterday! Temps AND humidity in the 80's! Definately time to turn the ac on! (Which I did!)

2 Fall 2008 bulb catalogs arrived yesterday! Already?! Spring isn't officially over for 3 & 1/2 weeks!!!

The much needed thunderstorms last night have brought clear, humidity free air, a slightly chilly breeze today and sunshine! At least I don't have to water anything until maybe tomorrow!

Tomorrow I'm off to Home Depot w/a few coupons that expire tomorrow and gift cards from my bday that passed last week! I need some soil and I'm looking for a rose of some kind - whatever catches my fancy! (My rose bush is definately dead!) Pink or red though I'm leaning towards pink! (Seems to be a theme in my garden this year! Pink flowers and lots of green foliage!) And a couple of hanging baskets and some shepherds hooks! I want to pick up some lemon balm and a few other herbs as well.

I picked up 2 Early Girl tomato plants last week and they seem to be doing fine where they are out front (which gets all the sun!). I've never grown full size tomato's before, only cherry and grape!

I thought my raspberries were finally going to fruit this year, but alas, it looks as though they won't! Sigh!

Marian (gramma) | 24 comments Be careful with the Lemon Balm. Turn your back on it & it takes over the garden. But it does make a good tea. All members of the mint family need to be watched. Give them a little moisture & they take over the yard!

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Mine got big but behaved itself for most of the 5+ years I had it! It survived being uprooted twice (the first time it was moved to a different hardy zone when we moved and the 2nd time it was moved to a pot!) and I miss having it! I loved taking some off and putting it in vases in the kitchen and bedroom all summer long! The scent was so lovely! But, I didn't find any at Home Depot, so I have to try a few of the local nurserys instead!

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) i never used it to make tea! interesting!
