Renee Rearden (ReneeRearden) | 43 comments Hi!

My name is Renee Rearden, and I'm a GR author. (Sounds a bit like a support group, doesn't it? Okay, I admit it. I'm addicted to books!!! =D )

I write paranormal romance. My first novel, MOONLIGHT BLEU, was officially released by Crescent Moon Press Sept. 6, 2010. I'll post the jacket blurb to give you an idea of the storyline.

Friend me on GR or Facebook or Twitter. Also, check out my website for an excerpt!

In MOONLIGHT BLEU, Saari Mitchell sees a psychologist in order to understand why--500 years later--she's still dreaming of her dead lover. Her shrink isn't helping, the nightmares come every time she closes her eyes, and the lack of sleep is interfering with her job at Sacred Heart Hospital. With her psychic ability to heal the human spirit on the fritz, her auric radar becomes as reliable as her spotty cell phone service.

By day, Dhelis Guidry works as a detective for the New Angeles Police Department investigating the missing or murdered women in the Full-Moon Killer case. In his spare time he hunts rogue vampires as a Tueri executioner.

Brogan Vincent is a Tueri healer. Though he could offer his miraculous talents to the rich and powerful, he has chosen anonymity and peace by only using his psychic abilities among the Tueri.

One look into Saari's tri-colored eyes and both men realize she is Tueri. One touch tells them each she's their soul mate. But can either of them protect her from the Full-Moon Killer?

message 7: by Maria (new)

Maria Schneider (BearMountainBooks) Hi, I'm Maria. Under Witch Moon (Moon Shadow Series) by Maria E. SchneiderUnder Witch Moon is a paranormal mystery that takes place in Santa Fe, NM.

Adriel should have known that with a werewolf, it never stopped with just one body. She would have gone to the police after witnessing Dolores' death, but she wasn't certain the killer she saw was responsible for the other murders. Besides, the police didn't believe in werewolves, and they weren't going to believe she was a witch either so what could she tell them?

She kept her eyes and ears open while she tried to help her latest client escape the clutches of a voodoo witch, but things went from bad to worse when more bodies turned up. She was greatly relieved when she met White Feather, an undercover cop. Unfortunately, he wasn't convinced she was innocent of all wrong-doing.

It was going to take every spell she knew and a few she hadn't tried to solve the murders and stay alive.

Thanks for providing a place to post!

A. Rosaria | 4 comments Hello,

My name is Alex Rosaria and I'm a writing and reading addict.

I recently published my novel on the Kindle store. I consider my novel a horror story with a strong supernatural element in it. (Second book in series does have a little bit of romance)

Finitum (Origin Series) by A. Rosaria

John Lone had to deliver a package to a secluded cabin in the forest, later that day he had an important date planned with his girlfriend Linda.
A simple routine trip he had made many a time turned out bad. Supernatural creatures stalked within the forest and beyond for any innocent prey they could devour.
John will have to fight for his live to get out, to get back to society, back to his girlfriend Linda, and his only chance to a happily ever after, but this is no fairy tale.

Finitum is the first book in a trilogy. It's mainly a horror, with supernatural elements and a tiny bit of romance. It's about a young man that gets himself in the middle of nastiness when his small town is overrun by all sorts of evil creatures. The only thing he wanted to do that day was to get on a date with his girlfriend and to propose to her, instead he now has to try escape with his life and find his girlfriend, and all the while deep within himself he's changing into someone he doesn't really want to be.

The story is graphic at times and not suitable for the young (below 18 y/o), it has elements of more genres than just horror. To me it's more about the journey of one man, while life as he knew it crumbles around him all the while his wants are so simple yet unattainable.

Notes about the cover:

I previously had another cover, but because it didn't fit the story I changed it to this current one, but I'm not that glad about it, I think soon I might change it with yet a more attractive version.

Miguel Conner | 5 comments Arrrrgh! I just realized that I've been posting for days and not a single post shows up. That just shows you the size of my brain, but don't judge my talent on it. Let me do it another browser. Arrrrgh!

Anyway, I've just released the second edition of my classic vampire saga, The Queen of Darkness, re-titled Stargazer. It was groundbreaking then, it's eerily relevant to our imploding culture now. I'm going to just leave a link in case something paranormal happens to my post. Yes...arrrrrgh!

Sequel coming out late this year. And so on.

Now an empty shell of hatred, Asar vows to kill the goddess and anyone involved in her release, but fate crosses his path with a beautiful blonde huntress who has a soul too sweet to ignore.
Lilly, fearless commander of the Nehebkau huntresses, is the only thing standing in the way of the goddess' undead army unleashing hell on earth. Brighid's Cross
Cate Morgan
Apocalyptic Fantasy (with Romantic Elements)
Available November 1, 2011

One woman with a job to do. One hacker with a plan. And the apocalypse just around the corner. Any questions?

Aika Lareto is a descendent of St. Brighid in her incarnation of all things fire and warfare in a time when heroes were revered as gods. In 2025, this means Aika is hunted by all things demon and government. All she wants is to get on with her work as guardian of the dregs scraping out a fringe existence in London’s blitzed Underground—the lost, forgotten and the just plain ignored.

Declan Pryce is the hacker who finds her first. Quite a feat, considering current ruling government conglomerate Dreamtech has issued a bounty on Aika’s head for her ability to bypass their security systems.

When she escapes Dreamtech’s net, the vote is unanimous—Aika is a liability in need of immediate resolution—dead or alive is entirely her choice.

No choice, really. She’ll take death over disloyalty every time. Declan has a plan that doesn’t include falling for an impossible woman in an impossible situation. She has plans of her own that don’t leave room for a love life.

If they’re incredibly lucky, it just might work.

Apolline Greer, a vampire hunter, finds herself transported 100 years into the past, into the body of her own ancestor on the maiden voyage of the Titanic. She soon finds that she's sharing the ship with both the vampire that killed her mother and a fellow hunter, a handsome young man named Alexander Walker.

Determined to change her own past, she teams up with Alex to hunt the vampire, but the longer they work together, the more personal their partnership becomes. With the iceberg looming ahead, Apolline finds herself not only racing against time to save her mother, but falling deeper for a man who probably won't survive the disaster.

Claudia Patrício (Iseul) | 2 comments Hi guys!

I'm trying REALLY hard to keep my promise: I'll post AT LEAST a chapter every 2 days or so! Since I'm a college student and my exams are about to start, that will be hard, but do not worry, I'll made up for my readers (Right now I have 3 of them YAY!!!!).

So, I'll share with you a little something from one of my books. This is a science fiction, Urban fantasy kind of book. It's going to be a series of 3 or 4 books (it will depend on how much I have to say about this world.), and it's called The Host Series, the 1st book being called Body. Here's a quick description:

"Aurora always saw the world in a very easily way. After all, there are only three things essential to the survival of the human being: a body, oxygen, and a heartbeat - she's a nurse, so she knows that kind of stuff.
She had a routine: get up, eat, work, sleep. After her return from a mission in Afghanistan, nothing else seemed to matter. In the end, everyone would end up the same way: dead. What was the purpose of doing more than the strictly necessary?
However, Aurora sees her beliefs - and her town - fall to the ground, when a group of terrorists begin a massacre, leaving a trail of blood and dead bodies. She wakes up one morning to a silent and empty truth: no bodies, no other living forms, human or animal.
In a quiet drive to the capital with her family, she discovers that the terrorist attack spread to other parts of her small country as well.
There's is only one question: who launched an attack so violent and despicable? The answer is simple: whoever it was, has only just begun..."

So, if your into chaotic, apocalyptic, murdering beings, then The Host Series will be your drug! Just take a look, and let me know your opinion!

PS: I love many different kidns of genres, so if you check my writing, you'll find other stories like Urban Fantasy and even Romance novels. Just browse around ;)

Susan Howdy all newbies. My debut e-book is now a Book of the Month December week 4 read in another group!

Evangelina Green (The Color Guard, #1) by Susan Firtik
Paranormal Romance (erotic)

It's about supposedly normal people, all taking on new adventures..and falling into love and LUST!
Self published, self edited, yadda yadda - so please be kind! I welcome your reviews!!

Evangelina Green Maddox thought the remodeling of her childhood summer home could have gone a lot smoother.

Construction problems, rain delays, werewolves, vampires... yeah, just a few things had gone wrong. Her two other 'summer sisters' arriving early, completed the chaos.

One was gravely ill, with a mysterious blood disorder, and the other now had her own problems. No spoilers! but it does involve a 7ft. tall vamp!

They each had their own special "talents". Lina spoke with ghosts and had an affinity with animals. That power had now doubled.

But the romance with Keaton Wolfe was the biggest change. Why her? She thought herself plain and ordinary. He saw her as she really was. Sexy and VERY desirable. It was fated. She was his mate.

Would she blow it or let him into her bed and into her heart?

With a black witch on their trail under a demon's command, and wolves circling the property, what else could go wrong?! PLENTY!

Eliabeth Hawthorne (EliaHawthorne) | 34 comments I'm an urban fantasy author. (That's okay too right?) My coauthor and I are launching our debut novel Blind Sight Through the Eyes of Aniela Dawson (Blind Sight, #1 Aniela) by Eliabeth Hawthorne Blind Sight Through the Eyes of Leocardo Reyes (Blind Sight, #1 Leocardo) by Ermisenda Alvarez March 1st. Both tell the story of Odette Reyes, a girl blind from birth who develops the ability to draw. One volumes follows Princess Aniela Dawson as she discovers Odette is a medium channeling voiceless spirits while the other volume follows Odette's brother Leocardo as he figures out Odette's drawings are premonitions. Who is right? Whose eyes will you read through?

Sharon Mamolo (S_E_Mamolo) | 13 comments Hello everyone,

My name's Sharon Mamolo and I just discovered goodreads by a review of my debut novel. I live in the New Orleans area and generally don't spend too much time on the computer surfing. I feel out of touch since one of my students, I'm a high school teacher, was the ones who told me about the review. Live and learn.

I am ecstatic to have found a virtual community of people who live and breathe in fantasy worlds. It's like coming home and I wasn't aware I was lost.

Shawn Dalton-Smith | 7 comments Dreamers Hi everyone! My debut novel has just been released by Red Sage publishing.

In one night, Somiar learns that everything she thought she knew about herself was an illusion. The woman that raised her isn't her mother, and she comes from a race of female assassins called Dreamers. While in a dream state,Dreamers can astral project, and get away with pretty much anything since they leave no DNA or fingerprints. Now that her biological mother has been caught, Somiar has been given the task of rescuing her from the Dream Catchers. On her journey, she finds nothing is as it seems.

Marie Frances (Marie_Frances) | 3 comments Greetings! I'm Marie Frances, and I'm fairly new to Goodreads. I'm thrilled to discover this huge community of readers and authors! My book, Nighthawk by Marie Frances, is the first in a series of supernatural thrillers. It's currently available on Amazon and B&N.

Evie Chevalier is a city cop with small town roots, focused on her budding career. But when her childhood friend goes missing, she returns to her hometown of Nighthawk, Washington to unofficially investigate the mysterious disappearance. The local police are uncooperative and seem to be hiding something, but before she can delve into their secrets, strange things begin happening in Nighthawk.

All of the signs point her to the town’s old mine, left abandoned from the pioneer age. As a child, she believed monsters lurked in the black tunnels, but she is too old to believe in monsters now. What she stumbles upon in her attempt to save her friend changes her perception of the world around her forever.

Jen (JenNaumannauthor) | 1 comments Hey guys! My debut novel is available now on Amazon! What I've Done What I've Done by Jen Naumann

I can't say too much without giving the plot away but I have been told it is an easy read and hard to put down.

Seventeen-year-old Lily Rossow is used to taking care of her burnout mother and 6-year-old sister Rose. But when her mother’s attempt to move the family to California only months before graduation goes horribly wrong, Lily faces the challenges of making a life for her and her sister in a new town while hoping her complicated past doesn’t find her. Things take an unexpected turn when two beautiful and helpful strangers come into Lily and Rose’s life. But nothing is easy for Lily. And when she uncovers a dark secret about these two mysterious men, she must make a life-altering decision-one that threatens to break the balance in an ancient battle between good and evil.

Happy reading! :)
